As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 121, "Air Brake Systems," and 106, "Brake Hoses."

Consequence

If the parking brake applies unexpectedly, there would be an increased risk of a crash.

Elgin will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the street sweepers and replace the T-fittings, as necessary, free of charge. The recall began February 27, 2019. Owners may contact Elgin customer service at 1-877-342-5374.
