I was previously notified of safety recall for the transmission shift cable failure (Manufacturer Recall Number A0C; NHTSA Recall Number 25V-674) that was announced on Oct 09, 2025. It's been nearly 1 year and there still isn't a remedy available (Today's date 9/28/26) "Recall Status: Recall Incomplete, remedy not yet available." My car has not experienced this failure yet, but the prolonged waiting for a remedy is making me nervous. It seems like 1 year is a reasonable time to wait before becoming frustrated about the lack of a remedy.
NHTSA complaint 11767518The contact owns a 2015 Dodge Dart. While the contact's daughter was driving 20 MPH, the transmission failed to shift as intended. The contact stated that the failure had occurred while at an intersection where there was a lot of traffic. The contact stated that approximately four years ago, a temporary recall repair was completed for the gear shifter. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V674000 (Power Train); however, the part was not available. The failure mileage was approximately 199,000.
NHTSA complaint 11766588On Aug 30, 2026, my 2015 Dodge Dart suddenly became stuck when the gear wouldn’t shift out of park. The shift lever would move, but it felt loose. This obviously rendered the vehicle undrivable. As this happened on a Sunday night, I had no choice but to call AAA to get the car towed home that night, and again later that week (Sep 2) to get it towed to the dealership when they scheduled an appointment for me to bring in the vehicle. This failure is directly related to open NHTSA recall 25V674 (Chrysler recall A0C), covering the transmission shifter cable/bushing on 2013–2016 Dodge Dart vehicles. This is the same component addressed by an earlier recall (19V293/Chrysler V34), which was performed on this vehicle in Jun 2021. According to Chrysler's own Part 573 filing, the 2021 fix failed in the field, prompting the new recall. As of this complaint, no permanent remedy exists for this recall. On Jun 17, 2026, the dealership where I took my car to for the 19V293 recall fix texted me, urging me to bring the vehicle in for this recall. Thinking they already had a fix, I brought my car in. It wasn’t until the day after I dropped off my car that I was told there still was no fix available and the visit was unnecessary. When I towed my car to this dealership on Sep 2, I was again told no permanent fix exists, and that I would have to pay for repair out of pocket and seek reimbursement from the manufacturer. The dealer estimated roughly 2 days for repair (original paperwork had a promise date of Sep 4). The vehicle was not ready until Sep 10. Repair cost: $782.49. When I retrieved the vehicle, the interior had been left in disarray (contents of the center console scattered in the back seat), and an access panel near the shift cable on the front passenger side had not been reinstalled. I am filing this complaint to document a real-world failure event tied to this open recall, and the fact that I was charged for a repair related to an unresolved safety recall.
NHTSA complaint 11766394The contact owns a 2015 Dodge Dart. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V674000 (Power Train); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The contact stated that after starting the vehicle, the transmission failed to shift out of park(P). The dealer was made aware of the failure but confirmed that parts were not yet available. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure by phone. The failure mileage was approximately 180,000.

NHTSA complaint 11758164I was driving my vehicle, 2015 Dodge Dart to get a regular oil change service back on XXX. The oil change service hub was only 10 minutes or so from my home. Upon arriving to the oil change location([XXX]), I was about to turn into the intersection when my vehicle had started to shake abruptly & my steering wheel started to wiggle left & right. It was very difficult to control my vehicle while turning with on going traffic coming my way. I was able to turn & safely park my vehicle. After the oil change my vehicle was able to be safely driven back to my apartment home. My vehicle has been parked in the same spot since this day & this day was the first time I had experienced this issue. The issue does flare up sometimes when I move my vehicle parking spots to avoid tow. I have contacted the Dodge dealership by my home via phone call & also via email in which I am regularly advised to check back again with in the following month as the parts or remedy is unavailable. Thankfully I have been able to manage my transportation priorities for work and other events for the past year this has been going on for. Recently it has added a descent amount of stress on everyday living & also putting a strain on expenses due to uber & rental reservations for transportation. Any kind of assistance would be greatly appreciated. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

NHTSA complaint 11755962My 2015 Dart has suffered a major loss of shift function, the key is being trapped in the ignition, the gears are not shifting properly or sometimes the gear locks up and doesn’t shift at all. The dealer refused repair due to parts not being available. I have been in contact with the dealership on numerous occasions by phone and told I have to wait until the parts become available in the past and recently with the manufacturer (NHTSA) and nothing has been done about the issue. The car is unsafe for me to drive the car has slipped into neutral while I was driving. The car is available for inspection upon request. The problem was confirmed prior to this incident on a previous recall but the issue is happening again after being repaired for the initial problem and it has been a hassle with customer service on how to get a resolution before tragedy happens driving the vehicle with these problems. There were not other symptoms of the problem prior to failure.

NHTSA complaint 11753944went to put car in Park and it started to roll away. also now the car will not start i have a message that says engine is warming to start.
NHTSA complaint 11753939On July 24th 2026, while operating my 2015 Dodge Dart, I was backing up in reverse and attempted to shift the vehicle into Park. During this normal shifting process, the transmission shift cable failed/broke, causing the vehicle to become stuck in Reverse and preventing me from safely shifting the vehicle into Park or another gear. The failed component is the transmission shift cable, which is the same component involved in the current safety recall for this vehicle. The failed part is available for inspection upon request and is currently with the dealership. This failure created a serious safety risk because the vehicle could not be placed into Park and remained stuck in Reverse. A vehicle that cannot properly shift gears creates a risk of unintended vehicle movement, inability to secure the vehicle when parked, and potential danger to the driver, passengers, and others nearby. The problem was confirmed by the Dodge dealership after inspection. The dealer verified that the shift cable had failed and that the issue involved the recalled component. The vehicle is currently at the dealership awaiting repair. There were no warning lights, dashboard messages, or other noticeable symptoms before the failure. The shift cable broke suddenly while I was attempting to shift from Reverse into Park during normal vehicle operation. The failure happened without warning and left me without a usable vehicle.
