Pervasive known issue occurred wherein motorcycle stalls while riding and power is removed/throttle closed. Motorcycle also stalls while at stop lights. This is a safety concern as motorcycle can stall inexplicably while under way and in corners where engine power is needed to exit the corner leading user to restart engine while underway.
NHTSA complaint 11470471The motorcycle stalls after engaging the clutch when approaching a stop. This does not happen at every stop but does happen every time I ride the motorcycle. This put me at risk because other drivers around me didn't know that I needed to restart my motorcycle before I could begin moving again. The dealership said that they were unable to reproduce the issue. No one has inspected the motorcycle except for the dealer. There were no warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure. This started after six months after I purchased the motorcycle. This is after the first scheduled maintenance.
