I purchased a 2025 Ford Bronco Outer Banks to flat tow behind my motorhome. Ford dealership in [XXX] said the Bronco can be flat towed and I reviewed the owners [XXX] , regarding flat towing, with the dealership prior to purchase. I went to a reputable hitch installer to add a demco/Air Force one braking system. We went on a 3 month trip out west and followed the directions in the Ford owners [XXX] to flat towing. Unfortunately while being towed the car came out of neutral tow 3 times while and there is no warning system to alert us when this happens. It cannot be felt or detected in our 44 ft coach. Luckily kind strangers saw our rear tires dragging and smoking and signaled to us. The last time we were on I55 near [XXX]. This was quite frightening as this could have easily turned into an accident for us and others on the road. I was able to drive a nearby Ford dealership who assessed the damage. We were lucky that only the rear tires were badly damaged and Ford replaced them for free. It was only at this time that we learned Ford sends out bulletins to dealerships re: updates. Per the dealership a bulletin was sent out in March 2026 stating that fuses 28 and 29 needed to be pulled. I asked why owners do not receive these updates and the dealer did not know. So thereafter we pulled the two fuses and waited 5 min for the Bronco to go in sleep mode. Even after all this, the Bronco would come out of sleep mode at times (2x) while being towed. For our safety and others on the road, we stopped flat towing the Bronco and my husband drove the coach and I drove the Bronco back to our home in [XXX]. Ford does not have a consistent fix for this issue and it scares me that there will be a horrific accident at some point. We tried to tell Ford of this issue and looked into a buy back or lemon law;however, Ford denied any problems( but they did replace our rear tires for free). NHTSA complaint 11765695The contact's wife owns a 2025 Ford Bronco. Upon taking delivery of the vehicle, the door stops on both rear doors began detaching and the plastic fender components fell off while the vehicle was parked. Additionally, the rear passenger’s side window intermittently failed to roll up. The contact then received notifications of NHTSA Campaign Numbers: 26V468000 (Engine, Electrical System) and 26V403000 (Structure). The vehicle was taken to the dealer for a wiring harness recall repair; however, the dealer stated that the fix was ineffective and too complex to perform. The manufacturer was notified of the issue and confirmed that parts were available; however, the vehicle was unrepaired. The failure mileage was approximately 500.
NHTSA complaint 11765342Possible suspension on front driver side caused loss of control of vehicle and separation of front tire from body. Failure of front airbags to deploy despite impact, Recall of front seat or seatbelt entire malfunction caused ejection and death of driver.
NHTSA complaint 11763792The contact owns a 2025 Ford Bronco. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 26V468000 (Engine, Electrical System); however, the part to do the recall repair was not available. The dealer was contacted. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was notified of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure.
NHTSA complaint 11759220The contact owns a 2025 Ford Bronco. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle lost motive power, and the Forward Collision Avoidance Automatic Emergency Braking and several unknown warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer several times; however, no cause for the failure was found. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 14,000.
NHTSA complaint 11757667Flat towing a 2025 Bronco behind a 2025 Newmar Dutchstar using a Blue Ox tow bar with Demco AirForce Braking System. Ford has a setting called neutral towing. It allows you to tow behind a motorhome with brake lights, braking, etc. When the Ford is in neutral tow, and in neutral gear, all 4 wheel roll freely and you can tow safely. What's happening is the Ford is waking up out of neutral tow when the 12V battery gets low. This isn't supposed to happen as there is a 7 Pin electrical connector from the motorhome to the 6 pin electrical connected to the Bronco. Once the 12v battery gets low, the Ford computer wakes up, see's it moving the back tow tires, so the system is applying the emergency brake locking up the 2 back tires. This has now happened three times as we have traveled from [XXX] to [XXX] (had it looked at Crossroads of Ford of Apex where I bought it). I took it in to Schmop Ford in Denver and after almost a deadly accident on XXX near [XXX], to XXX. They found the back two tires destroyed. Ford replaced the tires at no charge, but the issue remains. THIS SUV SHOULD NOT BE APPROVED FOR FLAT TOWING. It is dangerous and could be deadly. You have no way of knowing unless someone else tells you. Thanks to the stranger on XXX on XXX. They told us of our issue so we pulled over. If we were to continue driving the motorhome, the tires would've been totally destroyed, a fire, or cause us to flip over. There are so many complaints on the internet about this issue. You must make Ford fix this issue with a software fix immediately. Don't make my complaint for another unlucky traveler like myself. I have enclosed the back tire picture. You can see one tire with the tread completely gone, the other tire tread missing is not shown. You can also see how the tires are mis-shaped from rubbing across the highway cement. I AM TRYING TO UPLOAD PICTURES BUT YOUR SYSTEM IS GIVING ME AN ERROR FOR A JPEG LESS THAN 10MB INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
NHTSA complaint 11753632They have yet to repair this recall even though a remedy has been available. I have asked multiple times at my dealer and they always have a reason they can’t do it. They text me one time and never set the appointment. I have called and called and even went in. I asked at my oil change and at first they said yes but then they said they couldn’t check because “it would take all day and they did not have the time”. I went in at 8:15 or 9:15am. I even called after I made my oil change appointment and verified on the phone they can check for the recall that day and they said yes. But changed it when I showed up. I haven’t heard back since then. Here is the recall information; Manufacturer Recall Number26S30 NHTSA Recall Number26V268 They also have yet to notify me of the second recall on the vehicle causing engine fires. I only found out because I have a news app and saw an article. I have the Ford app and it “alerts me to recalls” but I’ve found out about every recall from the news not Ford until months after. Why aren’t they notifying customers promptly?
NHTSA complaint 117527612025 Ford Bronco Raptor right passenger fender flew off at highway speed on JUN 10, 2026 - took it to Ford for repair, repaired, and it has happened again today JUL 23, 2026; was able to reattach fender with clasps still in place; have also notified local Ford Dealership on issue again.
NHTSA complaint 11752599Bronco hard top is beginning to warp really bad and delaminate. Classic problem happening with there and ford still refuses to come up with a real solution. Every day the warping gets worse and I’m just waiting for it to get bad enough so I can take it in and ford actually do something about it. The warping and delaminating also impacts the seals of the hardtop panels on the car. The top also rattles really bad. Absolutely crazy for an expensive car. It’s very obvious that climate and humidity have the largest impact on this issue and STILL they do nothing about it.
NHTSA complaint 11746338On June 22, 2026, my 2025 Ford Bronco caught fire while parked outside a store. The vehicle had been parked for approximately five minutes when the fire began. There were no warning lights, alerts, unusual odors, or other indications of a problem before the incident. The fire and heavy smoke appeared to originate from the center console area near the gear shifter. The flames quickly spread throughout the driver’s side, center console, front passenger area, and the rest of the vehicle’s interior. The entire interior sustained severe fire and heat damage and was substantially melted. The responding fire department advised that temperatures inside the vehicle were well over 300 degrees. Firefighters disconnected the vehicle’s battery, after which the vehicle began to cool. Based on their initial observations, they indicated that the fire appeared to be electrical in nature. The vehicle had recently been filled with gasoline, which made the situation even more dangerous. Fortunately, no one was inside the Bronco, no other vehicles were parked nearby, and the fire department responded quickly. The vehicle has been transported to a repair facility but has not yet been inspected to determine the precise cause of the fire. I am extremely concerned that a nearly new vehicle could suddenly catch fire while turned off and parked, without any warning. This could have occurred while I was driving, with passengers inside, or while the Bronco was parked in my garage. Under those circumstances, the fire could have caused serious injury or death, destroyed my home, or endangered other people and property. I am submitting this complaint because I believe this incident presents a serious public-safety concern. I respectfully request that NHTSA investigate whether other 2025 Ford Bronco owners have experienced similar electrical fires and whether a defect exists that could place drivers, passengers, families, first responders, and the public at risk.
NHTSA complaint 11745907When the vehicle is in "Eco" mode, and an attempt is made to rapidly accelerate in an emergency situation, pressing the accelerator pedal to the floor results in a significant delay before *any* engine response is detected, far beyond what is reasonable for a normal gasoline powered vehicle. In several situations, I was in heavy traffic; traffic in the lane in which I was travelling was relatively slow. I attempted to change lanes into an adjacent lane in which traffic was moving much faster. When traffic allowed, I merged into the faster lane, and pressed the accelerator pedal to the floor. Prior to pressing the accelerator pedal, the vehicle was moving approximately 20 mph. Nothing happened for several seconds, and then the vehicle suddenly accelerated. During the period of non-response, traffic in the faster lane caught up to my vehicle. I am able to reproduce the issue 100%. The dealer's response is that "it's normal" (typical service response) and there was no attempt to investigate. I have driven several identical make/model vehicles belonging to friends, and one dealer vehicle (test drive) and they all exhibit the same issue. There are no warning lamps, errors, codes, or any indication that any system is faulty. The high latency in the throttle control system is clearly an ECU programming issue, and it increases the risk of collision. I have only observed this issue in models of this vehicle with an automatic transmission. I do own an identical model of this vehicle with a manual transmission, and this issue is not present.
NHTSA complaint 11745336I have a 2025 Ford Bronco Big Bend with 5233 miles. The windshield wipers stopped working. I checked the fuse and the fuse was good. I changed the fuse anyway and the wipers still do not work.
NHTSA complaint 11745106Its becoming more frequent and a huge safety issue. When you're driving the car, it feels like the emergency parking brake automatically engages. And when you push the brake pedal, it almost feels like it's dead, meaning there's no pressure back against your foot, which is really unusual for this vehicle, period. You don't necessarily lose control of the car, but you certainly don't have complete control of the braking system, period. Then you are in a period of time to get off the road safely and turn the vehicle off and restart it. Then the system seems to correct itself, and you can drive away. But I'm concerned about this from a safety perspective,
NHTSA complaint 11744499Vehicle was parked in a secured location and the back windshield spontaneously broke more likely due to hot weather.
NHTSA complaint 11743635Car would shut off shortly after using remote start on key fob then display a warning on digital instrument cluster for two days now. It would also show my speed going back and forth from 0 to 1mph while parked.
NHTSA complaint 11741856The Pre-Collision Assist false-triggers on turns daily, flashing the red collision warning and actively applying autonomous emergency braking without any obstruction present. This phantom braking is a severe safety hazard. The vehicle has been serviced before for this issue - and is going back to the shop next week (for the same issue).
NHTSA complaint 11741790I am filing a safety complaint regarding repeated windshield cracking on my new 2025 Ford Bronco. I purchased the vehicle approximately 2 months ago. Since purchase, the vehicle has experienced 3 separate windshield cracks under normal commuting use only. The vehicle has not been used off-road or in extreme driving conditions. The most concerning issue is that after the windshield was replaced, the replacement windshield developed another crack within approximately 24 hours of installation. The dealership has repeatedly classified the damage as “normal road debris” or “rock impact,” but I am concerned this may involve a structural, installation, or manufacturing defect rather than ordinary wear and tear. My concerns are based on the following: Multiple windshield failures in a very short period of ownership Failure occurring on a brand-new replacement windshield within 24 hours Normal commuting use only Concern for stress-related cracking, improper installation, body/frame flex, or windshield mounting issues Potential safety hazard involving driver visibility and windshield integrity I am requesting investigation into possible manufacturing, installation, or structural defects involving windshield cracking or windshield mounting systems on the 2025 Ford Bronco. I am also aware of other Ford Bronco owner complaints involving repeated windshield cracking and windshield-related issues. This issue creates ongoing safety concerns due to impaired visibility and repeated glass failure in a nearly new vehicle.
NHTSA complaint 11739412On [XXX] at [XXX] PM I was driving westbound on [XXX] at [XXX] while traveling through the intersection, my vehicle started shaking, lost acceleration, and nearly caused me to have a collision. My vehicles check engine light began flashing, and I was able to safely exit the highway. On May 20, 2026, Crouse Ford diagnosed a “cylinder #6”, however attributed the event as “an anomaly”, and no corrective action was taken despite the seriousness of the safety concerns. NHTSA complaint 11739096This is in reference to Safety Campaign 26S32. My fiancé owns a 2025 Ford Bronco 5 door and her roof has the same exact issue that is described in this safety campaign. Before the vehicle had 5000 miles on it the roof had already begun to show cracks, honeycombing and is beginning to show signs of delamination. The vehicle is going to our local dealer in a week to hopefully have the roof replaced under warranty but I doubt that permanently fixes the issue. Fords comment that they have resolved the issue is patently false. I will gladly send photos of the cracks as soon as possible but this safety campaign, in my opinion, should be extended to all of Broncos from 2021 to current.
NHTSA complaint 11738844The contact owns a 2025 Ford Bronco. The contact stated while attempting to start the vehicle depressing the brake pedal, heard a clunking noise and on for second the vehicle attempts to move while in park. The contact mention he could hear clunking sound coming from the front of the vehicle. A dealer was contacted. The vehicle was taken a dealer to be diagnosed, however the diagnoses was unknown. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact was relating the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number:25V164000 (Power Train), however the VIN was not included in the recall The manufacturer was not notified on the failure, and they informed him to take the vehicle to dealer. failure mileage was 2,200.
NHTSA complaint 11738527Technical service bulletins and other notices the manufacturer sent to dealers. A bulletin is not a recall; the 60 most recent are listed.
