The door in the second bedroom will not open if the sofa is opened to a bed. When the bed is open you cannot access the room from outside and you can not exit the room. The specification brochure shows that the door is supposed to open out to eliminate the problem, however the door was installed incorrectly in all of the 2025 models. When contacting Forest River they are denying saying that the door was designed that way with an emergency window in the room. The room cannot be entered or exited if the bed is out with the door being this way. The 2026 models & 2027 models are installed correctly.
NHTSA complaint 11762673The contact owns a 2025 Forest River Cedar Creek Trailer. The contact stated that the trailer failed the annual Pennsylvania Inspection in November 2025 due to bent rear axle springs, primarily affecting the driver’s side rear axle spring assembly. The trailer was equipped with two axles. The contact stated that the springs installed on the trailer were not appropriate for the trailer weight rating. The manufacturer was notified of the failure in November 2025 and the contact had ongoing dialogue with the manufacturer about the issue. The contact stated that the manufacturer offered to replace part rather than address the underlying issue regarding the spring weight capacity and requested the contact sign a nondisclosure agreement (NDA); however, the contact refused to sign the NDA. The trailer was not repaired. The contact stated that the trailer was inoperable and needed to be towed. The failure mileage was approximately 3,000.
