Catastrophic failure of the Lippert hitch - this is the second hitch issue - last fall the c channel failed causing the hitch to bottom out. Forest River had this fixed through Motor Home Specialists in Alvarado TX.
NHTSA complaint 11754358The contact owns a 2023 Ford F-53. The contact stated while the vehicle was parked, there was grey smoke coming from the A/C unit, and the A/C unit was inoperative. No warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the A/C unit needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 1,200.
