Forest river put large plastic panels for the underbelly on my 2022 wildwood 29vbud.Two of the panels have come lose and were hanging down dragging on ground and a third came off with a 1x1 piece of wood.I don't know where the panel and piece of wood came off at.
NHTSA complaint 11658653The 30amp outside plug burned to the outlet in the electric panel.
NHTSA complaint 11612784*The large coroplast panels that line the underbelly detach and fall off while driving. These panels are very large (about 4 x 6). * These panels came off while we were towing it on the interstate and mountainous roads. They could potentially cause an accident. * The camper is set to be inspected Nov. 16th to assess why they are falling off and to order replacement panels (They are necessary to protect the wires and lines underneath from wildlife and weather and therefore will have to be replaced.) * These are just coroplast panels that are screwed in. We did not know they had come off until we reached our destination and saw some remaining panels were hanging. These were resecured with duct tape. The 2 pictures attached are from our camper. They show what the panels look like, how they are attached, and an area where some are missing.
NHTSA complaint 11552718While driving on i95 going on a trip we blew not only this complaint of the pass side that was on the pa turnpike we blew the drivers side rear first and then hours later the drivers side front tire. Each time it appears that the side wall and treads caused the blow out.
NHTSA complaint 11541012The contact owns a 2022 Forest River Wildwood. The contact stated that the carbon monoxide alarms sounded while in the trailer. The contact and his wife opened up all the doors and windows as they both began to develop headaches and extreme fatigue. The contact and his wife went to the hospital; the contact's wife was treated for carbon monoxide inhalation and was placed on two tanks of oxygen. The contact's wife was released from the hospital the same day, the contact did not need any medical assistance. The contact purchased a carbon monoxide test and turned on the water heater; the tester indicated that the carbon monoxide level was at 100. The contact again aired out the trailer and took the vehicle to the dealer. The dealer used the carbon monoxide tester and their own tester; however, they could not duplicate the failure. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and was informed that there was no valid evidence that there were any defects with the camper. The camper was not repaired. The failure mileage was unknown.
NHTSA complaint 11484106The gas line (propane) for the rear bumper mounted BBQ grill is laid on the main support rail of the chassis of the camper. The issue is there are sharp metal tapping screws the length of the support rail and the hose is rubbing on them. This could eventually cause the hose to leak propane and possibly start a fire under the trailer.
NHTSA complaint 11470199The contact owns a 2022 Forest River Wildwood. The contact stated that while driving the RV at an undisclosed speed, another motorist notified her of an issue with the RV. After stopping to inspect the RV, it was discovered that the underbelly of the RV had loosened and was dragging along the road surface. The underbelly was temporally reattached to the subframe. The contact stated that later while driving, the exterior roof lining of the RV became unsecured, detached, and flew up in the air. The cause of the failure was not determined. The manufacturer and local dealer were notified of the failure but no assistance was offered. The failure mileage was 100.
NHTSA complaint 11469831The contact owns a 2022 Forest River Wildwood. The contact stated while driving 60 MPH, the trailer started swaying. The contact veered to the side of the road. Upon inspecting the trailer to determine the cause of the failure, the contact noticed that one of the underbelly pins had detached and flew off and the remaining pins were loosened. The RV was taken to the dealer for repair; however, after the dealer had repaired the RV, the contact inspected the RV and noticed that the pins were still not screwed into the frame. The dealer was notified and repaired the RV. Additionally, the contact stated while driving, she was informed by another driver that the two propane tanks were dragging underneath the trailer. The contact veered to the side of the road and noticed that the plastic covering the propane tanks had separated. The contact stated that the metal rod that maintained the propane tank secured into the holder and plate had detached. The contact stated that the propane tanks were significantly damaged. The contact stored the propane tanks in the trunk of the vehicle. However, while she was removing the tanks, she noticed that one of the propane tanks seemed empty though it was full at the time she stored it in the trunk. The dealer was notified of the failure. The manufacturer was notified through email and by voicemail. The RV was not diagnosed or repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 250.
