NHTSA complaint 10902952I WAS DRIVING MY MOTORCYCLE ON THE CAR POOL LANE WHEN ALL OF A SUDDEN THE BIKE SEIZED UP AND THE REAR WHEEL LOCKED UP SO I HELD THE CLUTCH LEVER AND PULLED TO THE LEFT OF THE LEFT MEDIAN SO I TOOK IT TO A SHOP BUT THEY JUST SCREWED ME AND DISMANTLED THE WHOLE ENGINE AND NEVER TOLD ME WHAT WAS WRONG SO I JUST BOUGH ANOTHER ENGINE AND THE SAME THING HAPPENED TO THIS ENGINE BUT THIS TIME I TOOK IT APART AND FOUND OUT THAT A MANUFACTURING ISSUE MAY CAUSE THE CONNECTING ROD BEARING TO WEAR PREMATURELY, CORRODE AND BREAK, WHICH MAY CAUSE THE ENGINE TO STALL AND/OR NOT RESTART I FOUND A RECALL ON NHTSA WEBSITE I HAVE SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS WHICH I I WILL SUPPLY.SO 2 ENGINES SAME PROBLEM. THE SECOND PICTURE IS THE BEARING THAT FAILED ALL THAT DEBRIS WAS IN MY OIL ALSO I LEARNED HOW TO TAKE APART AND PUT BACK TOGETHER MOTORCYCLE ENGINES BECAUSE I HAVE ABOUT 5 MOTORCYCLES AND DIRT BIKES.
