The seatback in my third row was reclined and failed to return to an upright position when attempted to be folded. Additionally, I observed that the belt buckle was damaged, which resulted in a cut wire within the buckle mechanism. Safety concern: It is strictly prohibited to permit any individual to occupy the third row. The vehicle remains under the custody of the dealership and its service department. Despite having possession of the vehicle for two months, no replacement or acquisition of the required part has been completed. No warnings or messages about the buckle.
NHTSA complaint 11768100I was on the highway and I hit the Cruise Control to engage “smart adaptive cruise control.” I received a warning light that said “Conditions for smart cruise control not met.” The car immediately began to decelerate. I could see that the light for the cruise control was still on. I hit the cruise control button again to turn it off- and it kept giving the same warning again and again (noted above). Meanwhile, the car was beginning to decelerate rapidly. I went from 65mph to 35mph in a matter of seconds while on the highway. I immediately put on my hazards and made my way to the shoulder where I stopped the car, restarted it, and was able to resume driving normally without incidence. I am not using cruise control anymore until this is resolved.
NHTSA complaint 11747384While driving my 2026 Hyundai Palisade Hybrid, the vehicle has repeatedly applied the brakes suddenly and without warning, especially approaching a specific overpass on my normal route and is fully repeatable. This only happens in the curb lane; the middle and passing lanes are fine. There is no forward collision warning, no detected obstacle, and no driver input when this happens. The braking is abrupt enough to feel unsafe and could cause a rear‑end collision. In addition to the phantom braking, the infotainment screen frequently reboots or goes completely blank while driving (blank 1 time). This causes loss of navigation, audio controls, and vehicle settings. The screen failure happens randomly and has occurred during normal driving. See video link here: [XXX] I reported the screen issue to my local Hyundai dealer (Crestmont Hyundai, Brunswick, OH), but they refused to document the complaint and told me to “wait for a recall.” They would not record the incident or investigate the problem. Both issues continue to occur and pose a safety risk. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
NHTSA complaint 11747039Technical service bulletins and other notices the manufacturer sent to dealers. A bulletin is not a recall.
