Dashboard vehicle information screen displays "NO SIGNAL" 100% of the time, The information screen is supposed to show speedometer, tach, gas and other details of the condition of the vehicle. This has been continuous for the past 3 days, before that has happened repeatedly before resetting itself. Safety recall 26V400000 DID NOT correct the problem
NHTSA complaint 11768290The contact leases a 2025 Hyundai Tucson. The contact stated that while driving 72 MPH, the adaptive cruise control deactivated, and the vehicle decelerated unintendedly to 60 MPH. The messages "Front Assist Collision Warning" and "Front Assist Collision Limited" were displayed. The contact stated that while reversing, the vehicle stopped abruptly, jerking the driver back and forth. Additionally, the Rear Cross-Traffic Alert system was intermittently inoperable. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, and the front camera software was updated under NHTSA Campaign Number: 26V316000 (Forward Collision Avoidance); however, the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer, and the front camera underneath the bumper was found slanted; the camera was adjusted; however, the failure persisted. The contact stated that there was an abnormal humming sound coming from the radio. The manufacturer was notified of the failures several times and referred the contact back to the dealer for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 11,000.
NHTSA complaint 11768144The instrument panel and info-tainment panel will get dim then brighten all of a sudden. Occasionally the info-tainment panel will go totally black for a second then come back on. I am not filling out the date portion. I had the vehicle less than 6 months and it has happened multiple times.
NHTSA complaint 11767596I was driving home tonight after dark. The car has been running just fine and all the sudden all the electrical on the car shut off, even the headlights and then everything turned back on.
NHTSA complaint 11766834While driving on the highway, the vehicle experienced sudden and complete loss of acceleration. When attempting to depress the accelerator pedal, the engine failed to respond causing the vehicle to continuously decelerate in active, high-speed traffic. This has occurred on multiple occasions, creating a severe crash hazard as trailing vehicles are forced to react or brake suddenly to avoid a rear-end collision.
NHTSA complaint 11766358All four factory-installed Nexen tires on my brand-new 2025 Hyundai Tucson are experiencing severe, premature dry-rotting, weather cracking, and deep splitting along both the sidewalls and within the tread grooves at just 16,000 miles. The DOT code is 2224, meaning the rubber is barely two years old. The vehicle's safety is severely compromised because widespread, deep dry rot on relatively new rubber creates an immediate risk of catastrophic tread separation or a blowout at highway speeds. This issue was brought to an authorized service provider, who documented the extensive cracking but rejected a standard treadwear claim because the tires still have deep tread depth remaining. Nexen Corporate (Claim #260805I13) subsequently denied a workmanship claim, falsely blaming "environmental exposure" despite the vehicle and tires being roughly one year old. The tires have not been inspected by police or insurance, but the components are fully available for inspection upon request. There were no warning lights or symptoms prior to visually identifying the severe cracking. (All tire sizes: 235-65-17)
NHTSA complaint 11765900Shifter malfunction, service immediately warning comes on. The car will not shift out of park and cannot be driven. It has happened 4 times now. No one has been hurt, but I have been stranded multiple times. The dealer couldn’t reproduce the issue the first time I brought it in, but they did second time I brought it in for the same issue. They replaced a part that was supposedly faulty, but the issue persists after the replacement. CAUSE : 42950R00 SHIFT BY WIRE (SBW) CONTROL UNIT ASSY 6064 1 42951-2D085 SBW CONTROL UNIT (N/ C) (N/C) FC: PART#: 42951-2D085 COUNT: 1 CLAIM TYPE: WAR There were no prior warnings. The error message has come on while I am mid driving on the highway, back roads or even just starting my car in the morning. In most cases I need to wait for the issue to just “self resolve”.
NHTSA complaint 11765604I am writing to file a complaint for the "consider taking a break" alert. I am a competent driver and yet my new Hyundai consistently alerts me on almost every drive that I need to take a break. It's problematic because it's ironically very distracting. It's not a feature that can be turned off and I think it needs to be optional.
NHTSA complaint 11764890The contact's daughter owns a 2025 Hyundai Tucson. The contact stated that his daughter had experienced sudden, unintended braking on three separate occasions while driving at various speeds. The contact stated that the failure occurred after slightly depressing the brake pedal, and the brake pedal went to the floorboard, and the vehicle came to an abrupt stop. No warning light was illuminated. The vehicle resumed normal operation shortly afterwards. The driver manually deactivated the Forward Collision Avoidance system at each startup, but the failure persisted. The contact's daughter then received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 26V316000 (Forward Collision Avoidance), and the software update was performed at the dealer. The failure reoccurred after the software update was performed. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact back to the dealer. The vehicle remained with the dealer for an extended period. The technicians at the dealer failed to reproduce the issue and deemed the vehicle safe to drive. The contact stated that his daughter refused to take possession of the vehicle and felt that the vehicle was unsafe to drive. The failure mileage was approximately 7,000.
NHTSA complaint 11763445It suddenly brakes with warning forward collection. Thought this car recall update the s/w for forward collision braking.
NHTSA complaint 11761782The contact owns a 2025 Hyundai Tucson. The contact stated that while driving 35 MPH on the highway, the vehicle ahead was slowing down to come to a stop, and the contact depressed the brake pedal. The Forward Collision Avoidance system activated and the vehicle came to an abrupt stop. Due to the failure, the contact was rear-ended by the vehicle behind. No air bags had deployed due to the failure. A Police report was filed. There was no injury sustained. The vehicle was driven away from the scene. Prior to the failure, the contact had received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 26V316000 (FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE); and associated the failure with the recall. Neither the dealer nor the manufacturer was notified of the failure. The contact had taken the vehicle to an independent mechanic for an estimate for the repair of the vehicle. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 6,000.
NHTSA complaint 11761263Two instances of the center screen malfunctioning. One was an intermittent blip of the screen turning black and then turning back on while driving. Additionally, during this same instance of the intermittent blip of the screen turning off for about 3 seconds, my headlights which are set to auto also turned off while I was driving at night and then blipped back on when the screen came back at the same time. Second instance, the center screen was black and never came on when the car was initially turned on and the screen remained black for the entirety of my drive until the car was fully turned off and then back on. Yes, this is available for inspection upon request. Safety was put at risk by losing headlight visibility at night highly increasing the chances of an accident as well as losing important carplay navigational directions on center screen. Problem has been reproduced as these issues both occurred within one week (the week of August 16-23, 2026). The vehicle has not been inspected. During the time of both events there were no warning lamps or messages that appeared.
NHTSA complaint 11759123The instrument cluster malfunctioned suddenly leaving the control panel completely black (no odometer, speedometer, speed range, turn signal indicators, etc.). The driver was therefore unable to know what speed they were driving, how much fuel remained, and lacked any sort of signal that turn signals/blinkers were on or off. It was unsafe to drive and impossible to accurately comply with legal speed limits. Local Hyundai dealership inspected the car and confirmed that the cluster had to be replaced, which they did (required 11 total days of being unable to use the car).
NHTSA complaint 11758946My 2025 Hyundai Tucson (VIN [XXX]) has been out of service since [XXX] (over 60 days) at CMA’s Colonial Hyundai in South Chesterfield, Virginia, waiting for a front camera related to safety Recall 302 (NHTSA Campaign 26V316 – Front View Camera FCA Update). The dealership previously replaced the front camera, but the issue was not resolved. They then ordered a new camera that remains on backorder with no firm ETA. I have been provided a rental during this time. Hyundai assigned Case #[XXX]. I have provided formal written notice under Virginia lemon law demanding a buyback because the vehicle has been out of service far beyond the 30-day threshold. The safety-related defect remains unrepaired. NHTSA complaint 11758709COMPONENT: Infotainment main display screen. Still installed and available for inspection. FAILURE: The screen intermittently flickers, then goes blank with static. Occurs at unpredictable intervals including while driving. Ongoing and unrepaired. SAFETY RISK: The display is centered in the dashboard and houses the backup camera and vehicle controls. Flickering and static while driving creates a visual distraction, and the backup camera is unavailable when the screen goes blank. The malfunction now occurs often enough that it interferes with normal driving. REPRODUCED BY DEALER: Not reproduced during any service visit. Reported to three Hyundai dealerships: Pedder Hyundai, San Diego (May 2025): could not replicate, but accepted my video evidence and ordered parts. I relocated before the repair was completed. Hyundai Mountain View, CA ([XXX]): could not replicate. Declined to perform a diagnostic or open a warranty claim despite the same video evidence. Stevens Creek Hyundai, Santa Clara (Invoice [XXX], Aug 18-20 2026): road tested, unable to verify. Found stored code c2a2397, history in front camera menu. Infotainment software at current level. Road tested 94 miles without recurrence. Technician wrote: "If issue re-occurs, we recommend returning the vehicle to us for further diagnosis." No cause identified, no repair performed. Charged $315. I have provided video of the screen failing while driving to the dealerships and to Hyundai Motor America. INSPECTED BY MANUFACTURER: Inspected by the three dealerships above. Case opened with Hyundai Motor America Consumer Assistance in June 2026, unresolved with no written determination. Not inspected by police or insurance. WARNING LAMPS: None. No dashboard messages accompany the failure and it occurs without prior indication. First observed approximately May 2025, within weeks of delivery (delivered [XXX]). Current mileage 21,389. NHTSA complaint 11758628The windshield wipers will only go up once they have fully gone down all the way. Therefore, when snow (or something else) gets stuck below the windshield wipers while they are in use, they cannot go all the way down, and they will therefore not go back up again. The wipers become inoperable while trying to complete their cycle, and stay stuck in place creating extremely unsafe conditions. This incident occurred numerous times while in the snow, where a large chunk of snow or ice prevented the wipers from going all the way down, and the wipers would not work to remove additional falling snow until I pulled over and cleared the area below the wipers. I contacted HyundaiUSA and they said I had to go to dealer to address this issue, but the problem is not a manufacturing problem or broken part with my car, it is a design flaw that significantly impacts safety.
NHTSA complaint 11758256Vehicle: 2025 Hyundai Tucson SEL Mileage: Approximately 14,500 miles Tire: Original factory-installed 235/60R18 Incident Date: August 13, 2026 Time: Approximately 2:24 PM Location: US 751 near Garrett Road, North Carolina Injuries: None At approximately 2:24 PM on August 13, 2026, a 2025 Hyundai Tucson SEL with approximately 14,500 miles experienced a sudden front driver’s-side tire blowout while being driven on US 751 near Garrett Road in North Carolina. The vehicle was equipped with the original factory-installed 235/60R18 tires. The tire failed suddenly while the vehicle was being driven, creating a significant safety concern and potential loss of vehicle control. No injuries were reported. I went to the location to assist. Initially, I believed the damage was limited to the tire. The damaged tire was replaced so the vehicle could be driven safely, and the tires were subsequently replaced at a tire shop. After the incident, an unusual and persistent noise developed from the front driver’s-side area. Because the noise continued after the tire replacement, the vehicle was taken to a repair facility for further inspection. The vehicle is currently at the repair facility, and I am waiting for the inspection and repair findings. I do not yet have the mechanic’s final diagnosis regarding the source of the noise or whether there is additional mechanical damage. The front driver’s-side wheel/rim also sustained visible scratches and damage during the incident. I have photographs documenting the damaged tire and wheel, although the original damaged tire has already been replaced and is no longer in my possession. Given that the vehicle had only approximately 14,500 miles and the tire was an original factory-installed tire, I am concerned about the safety implications of a sudden tire failure on a relatively new vehicle. I am submitting this complaint to NHTSA so that this incident can be documented and evaluated for any potential safety issue or pattern involving t
NHTSA complaint 11757284I was sold this vehicle as new. Then I look it up and it has these recalls. They should have to buy it back
NHTSA complaint 11756929My 2025 Hyundai Tucson required the front brake rotors to be resurfaced at approximately 12,200 miles. The Hyundai dealership diagnosed the rotors as overheated and warped, despite the brake pads being in good condition. The repair occurred before Hyundai issued Recall 302 (NHTSA Recall 26V-316). Hyundai Recall 302 identifies a defect in the Forward Collision-Avoidance (FCA) system’s front-camera software that can cause the FCA system to engage earlier than expected and potentially result in sudden braking. Hyundai’s FCA system is capable of automatically applying the brakes. I am concerned that premature or unintended brake application associated with this recalled software condition may have contributed to excessive brake heat and premature overheating/warping of my front rotors. I am NOT claiming that this causal relationship has been established. Rather, I am reporting a potential safety defect and asking NHTSA to evaluate whether there may be a relationship. The dealership confirmed that the rotors were overheated/warped but characterized the condition as wear and tear. Hyundai Motor America subsequently denied my reimbursement request on the same basis. I have repeatedly asked Hyundai to evaluate whether Recall 302 could have contributed to the brake condition, but Hyundai has not acknowledged or technically addressed this potential relationship. The original rotors are no longer available for inspection because they were resurfaced during the repair. The dealership performed and documented the diagnosis and repair. I am submitting this complaint because I believe the combination of premature rotor overheating/warping at only 12,200 miles and a subsequently identified FCA defect involving unexpected braking warrants investigation.
NHTSA complaint 11755663The contact owns a 2025 Hyundai Tucson. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the Forward Collision Avoidance Assist (FCA) warning light was intermittently illuminated. The dealer was notified of the failure and attributed the issue to inclement weather. The contact stated that while stopped, the vehicle was rear-ended because the brake lights failed to illuminate. The contact sustained lower back and shoulder injuries, was transported by ambulance to the hospital, and required ongoing injection treatments. A Police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to a dealer and repaired for rear-end and passenger-side damages; however, the cause of the brake lights' failure was not determined. Additionally, the contact stated that while attempting to accelerate from a complete stop at a traffic light, the vehicle stalled and was struck on the front driver's side by another vehicle. The crash caused the vehicle to spin, and the front end detached. The air bags failed to deploy, and a system failure message was displayed. The contact sought medical attention the following day. The contact sustained a dislodged left thumb bone which required surgery, a cast, and injections for left arm pain, as well as shoulder, neck, hip, and aggravated lower back pain. A Police report was filed. The second failure had occurred at [XXX]. The vehicle was towed to the auto body shop at the dealer and repaired; however, neither the dealer nor the insurance adjuster determined the cause of the vehicle stalling. The contact associated the failure with an unknown recall notification. The manufacturer was not notified of the failures. The failure mileage was unknown.
