1994 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE WAS PLACED ON RECALL LIST OF CHRYSLER TO INSTALL TRAILER HITCH. RECALL SERVICE STATED RUST AND CORROSION LEVEL 5 UNABLE TO COMPLETE RECALL. I THEN TOOK MY CAR TO A MUFFLER SHOP AND HAD IT RAISED TO SEE WHAT WAS GOING ON. I SAW NO EXTREME AMOUNT OF RUST THAT WOULD HAVE PREVENTED THEM FROM PERFORMING THE RECALL WORK. I ASKED THE MECHANIC IF THEY COULD INSTALL A TRAILER HITCH TO MY CAR, THEY SAID FOR A FEE. I TRULY BELIEVE THAT THEY DID NOT WANT TO COMPLETE THE WORK, BECAUSE THEY COULDN'T MAKE ANY MONEY OFF OF IT. ANOTHER THING, I WANT CONSIDERED IS THE FACT, THAT MY CAR IS AT LEAST 21 YEARS OLD, SO THERE MIGHT POSSIBLY BE RUST, BUT NOT TO THE LEVEL THAT WOULD PREVENT THEM FROM COMPLETING THE INSTALLATION.
