TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 MONACO RV RIPTIDE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE ATTEMPTING TO CHANGE THE PASSENGER'S SIDE WIPER BLADE, THE WIPER ARM CRACKED. THE RV WAS TAKEN TO SEVERAL RV DEALERS HOWEVER, THE CONTACT WAS UNABLE TO RETRIEVE THE NEEDED REPLACEMENT PART. THE RV WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE CONTACT REFERENCED NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 11V105000 (VISIBILITY) HOWEVER, THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 12,000.
NHTSA complaint 11329730TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 MONACO RIPTIDE RV. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 60 MPH, THE VEHICLE WOULD SWAY APPROXIMATELY SIX INCHES TOWARD LARGE COMMERCIAL VEHICLES IF THOSE VEHICLES DROVE PAST HIM. AS A RESULT, THE CONTACT WOULD NARROWLY AVOID CRASHES. AN AUTHORIZED DEALER WAS NOTIFIED AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THERE WERE NO MECHANICAL FAILURES PRESENT IN THE VEHICLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 1,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 1,500.
