NHTSA complaint 1146003419ft factory installed awning detached from RV rendering RV undriveable. Mobile repair shop manufactured parts to securely and properly reattach awning. Shop reported factory install was very substandard. Additionally shop reported they had never seen an awning arm installed crossing over a window. Detachment fortunately occurred while RV was stopped. On the road the detachment would have most likely been complete and therefore a safety issue for following vehicles.
