The contact owns a 2014 Ram 2500. The contact stated that while driving on several occasions at various speeds, the instrument panel failed to display pertinent information. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact believed that the failure was associated with NHTSA Campaign Number: 13V486000 (Electrical System). The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 189,000.
NHTSA complaint 11755850Drag link recall for my 2014 Ram 2500 was performed in 2019 and failed in 2024 causing the steering component to became loose while driving. When I had it "re-fixed" by Folsom Lake Dodge and Chrysler dealership they re-welded it without aligning the steering column so my steering wheel has been off ever since(not centered). This needs to be fixed not band aided.
NHTSA complaint 11729528On 5/28/2019 Recall V06 was completed on my 2014 Dodge Ram 2500. As part of that repair the adjustment nuts on the steering drag link were welded to prevent loosening and potential separation. On 3/3/2026 I had new front suspension components installed by Les Schwab Tire Center. During that service the technician advised a wheel alignment could not be performed because the welded drag link nuts prevented the steering linkage from being adjusted. Alignment is normally required after front suspension work and necessary for proper steering geometry. Les Schwab advised that grinding the welds off the drag link to perform the alignment and then rewelding the component would be unsafe because it could introduce hidden stress or cracking in the steering component. They recommended replacing the drag link with a Moog DS801538A redesigned component. The drag link had to be replaced to restore normal steering adjustment and allow the vehicle to be properly aligned. On 3/3/2026 I requested reimbursement from Dodge/Chrysler for the drag link replacement required due to the recall repair. The request was denied. On 3/4/2026 Chrysler representatives acknowledged the welded drag link rendered the vehicle unserviceable for alignment yet still denied reimbursement. Chrysler’s Vehicle Alignment Clarification Letter states that after the recall repair, owners should still be able to obtain an alignment using an approved procedure. In my case, however, the welded drag link prevented any adjustment necessary to perform that procedure, making the vehicle unserviceable for alignment until the drag link was replaced. The recall repair rendered a steering component non-adjustable and prevented normal service, leaving the vehicle less serviceable than before the recall repair. Documentation and photos are attached.
NHTSA complaint 11722016A red warning light appeared on my dash which says to” service airbags.” It has been on for a few months now. I’m really concerned now since I heard about airbags being recalled.
NHTSA complaint 11717436Check engine light came on end of November 2025 and stayed on. Immediately I took the truck to two different independent mechanics. They both said it was a problem with the turbocharger but I never received a recall regarding this. They both said I could still drive it and that it would not leave me stranded. The last recall done was the 67A a year ago. There are currently no recalls for my particular vehicle through the NHTSA. The truck is currently having the very expensive turbocharger replaced by one of the independent mechanics. Why wasn't I alerted to this problem?
NHTSA complaint 11709430The contact owns a 2014 Ram 2500. The contact stated that while driving at 65 MPH, the steering wheel shifted while turning. The contact self-diagnosed the vehicle and found that there was slack in the track bar and brackets that needed to be reinforced. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by a dealer or independent mechanic. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 175,000.
NHTSA complaint 11700153I took my 2014 Dodge Ram 2500 (VIN: [XXX] ) to Glendora Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram on Lone Hill Ave. for Recall R46. The dealership kept my truck most of the day but did not perform the recall. Instead, they told me something untrue—that my upgraded suspension made the repair impossible—without ever attempting the repair. They then tried to pressure me into signing a waiver of liability stating the recall could not be performed and gave me the runaround when I refused. This dealership was unwilling to help me and misled me instead of completing a federally mandated safety recall. NHTSA complaint 11684945Twice in the same manner my 2014 Ram has sucked the fan shroud through the radiator. When under load (towing under the weight maximum) and moving at highway speeds 60-70 MPH, the fan shroud softens to a point where it is pulled in by the fan and slung through the radiator causing debris and immediate leakage and power loss, effectively stopping the vehicle. This fault has occured twice the same way in the last two years and according to forums is a continuous problem with the trucks
NHTSA complaint 11681197The contact owns a 2014 Ram 2500. The contact stated that the area around the radio was overheating. The vehicle was taken to the dealer was unable to determine the cause of the failure, but the radio was replaced. The contact stated the area around the radio was still overheating even with the radio turned off. The contact believed that there was a possible electrical failure with the fuse lines inside the vehicle around the console. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 45,000.
NHTSA complaint 11656335The TIPM is bad. Truck goes dead whenever it wants. I’ll be driving down the highway and it quits and then you can’t get it to start back. Windshield wipers work sometimes other times they randomly come on.
NHTSA complaint 11649949Tires are load range E but max load on tire is only 65psi. Truck requires 80 psi tires. Not sure how they can be load range E and only handle 65 psi. Can not tow anything because sidewall of tire is too flimsy to handle load at highway speeds. Tires also have bad vibration at highway speed even though I have tried balancing them multiple times. tire size is 35x12.5x18
NHTSA complaint 11646598Stuck in fourth gear Check engine light illuminated
NHTSA complaint 11639267The contact owns a 2014 Ram 2500. The contact stated while driving 45 MPH, the vehicle started to jerk, slipped into neutral, with the RPM being raised abnormally. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The contact pulled over to the side of the road and continued driving the vehicle very slowly. The vehicle was taken to a local AutoZone to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that 5th and 6th gears were in incorrect gear ratio. The local dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 177,038.
NHTSA complaint 11630539The contact owns a 2014 Ram 2500. The contact stated that after parking the vehicle, there was diesel fuel leaking from the vehicle. Upon inspection, the contact discovered that there was diesel fuel leaking from the fuel filter connected to the diesel fuel heater. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The local dealer and manufacturer were contacted but no assistance was offered. The contact was informed that the VIN was not included in the NHTSA Campaign Number: 14V635000 (ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING, FUEL SYSTEM, DIESEL). The contact stated that the vehicle had experienced the failure listed in the recall. The failure mileage was 165,000.
NHTSA complaint 11628326The grid heater relay failed, it turned on the heater then wouldn’t shut off. This melted the entire wire which could have caused a fire
NHTSA complaint 11626219Negligent service. How could be possible to measure assembly threads without a torque wrench? I regret bringing the vehicle for the recall. Passed two weeks, and the RamCare and dealer did not contact to fix. It's dubious if all performed recall V06 was executed correctly at the dealer. Owners and dealer may think that the recall will not bring any risk for the owner. See attached pictures and the procedure.
NHTSA complaint 11621047I had the cruise control set. I hit a large bump on the highway. The cruise control shut down along with the back up sensor. The ABS and Anti-Skid lights came up on the dash. Several messages came up on the dash to service the ABS, service the EBS, service the backup sensor. I am concerned that this is going to cause an accident due to the possibility of the brakes locking up and causing a slide that could result in a rollover. This is very concerning to me. Also, I get a credit on my insurance for having ABS on my vehicle. Please contact me or notify me with your intentions. I have been reading on the Ram 2500 forums and it sounds like this is a common failure. Thank you for your time, and interest in my concern.
NHTSA complaint 11612365I was contacted to complete a recall on my truck, (67A), which I had performed by the local dealer. The recall notice also said "If you have already experienced this condition and previously paid for a repair, you may be eligible to receive a reimbursement." I spoke to an individual and followed the instructions to submit a claim. With no response, I tried to get a status; to confirm proper items were received electronically. I was told, they were received and the claim was denied? No reason or justification. I tried many times and was disconnected after asking to speak with a manager/supervisor.
NHTSA complaint 11603850The ABS motor and module failed burning the wiring harness plug into the module This caused the engine once shut down to not be abled to start the electrics on the dash were flicking on and off 24 hours later engine started and a warning chime noise came from the dash turned engine off wouldn't start again every thing was dead Replaced ABS Module and electric motor as a unit and electric module plug ,reset problem solved About 30000ks later same problem again no warning same as before there was a problem This time dash lights "service ABS" flashing and chiming been told ABS module and motor needs replacing by mechanic
NHTSA complaint 11602223I recently received a letter in the mail from FCA US LLC, about an emissions recall (Emissions Recall VB6 or 67A) on this 2014 ram. The recall covered many emissions components including the diesel exhaust fluid components. The recall letter also said that if I had replaced or repaired any of these components in the past, I may be eligible for a reimbursement. I had previously had to replace my Diesel Exhaust Fluid Pump back in 2021 and turned in the receipt for the work, but the claim has been denied. I just wanted to reach out to see if there was anything that done to help possibly get the reimbursement.
NHTSA complaint 11599813Technical service bulletins and other notices the manufacturer sent to dealers. A bulletin is not a recall; the 60 most recent are listed.
