Window is loosened at Lippert Metallarte entry door. VIN has not been included in recall under 24V824000
NHTSA complaint 11657144Coach Entry door window detached from frame
NHTSA complaint 11654351The bracket which attaches the awning to the roof of the RV Is separating from the roof. The mounting screws are pulling out of the roof. I intend to bring it to the dealer for repair. There was no warning that this situation was occurring. I was inspecting the awning due to a different awning recall issue and found this condition. If it had gone undetected, it would have eventually separated from the roof and could have caused major damage to my vehicle or other vehicles on the highway.
NHTSA complaint 11591003The awning is self deploying. Sent in for a recall and still an issue. With phone calls to the supplier of the Awning (Carefree Awnings of Colorado) their customer service is suggesting a on off switch. Winnebago are not agreeing with a on off switch, and the are installing a motor brake wedge and a software update. This is not safe, the awning is still self deploying. This is a major safety risk for property damage and or life threatening road debris.
NHTSA complaint 11534768Door covering propane compartment flew open at highway speeds; latching system does not work and door can not be closed securely. Design of door closing and latching mechanism faulty. BODY AND DEFECTIVE DOOR IS BY WINNEBAGO
NHTSA complaint 11531214The "basement" storage compartment doors keep popping open. The RV has sic such compartments. I Drove from Maryland (the state of my residence) to Forest City to Iowa to address one of the doors (Propane compartment). The manufacturer fixed that issue free of charge. A few days later (today) while driving, the door to the compartment behind the Propane one popped open. By the time I realized it I had hit a couple of traffic cones. This was on I-90W in South Dakota west of Spearfish where there is construction work and cones are used to divide the two lane highway. When I got out of the vehicle to try to close it, I noticed that the latches do not engage property. Now there is also a dent at the corner of the compartment door and the paint is damaged.
NHTSA complaint 11529252Technical service bulletins and other notices the manufacturer sent to dealers. A bulletin is not a recall.
