NHTSA complaint 11639626TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2019 CHEVROLET MALIBU HYBRID. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FUEL LINE UNDER THE HOOD DETACHED, CAUSING FUEL TO SPILL INSIDE OF THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT. THE VEHICLE STALLED WITH THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED AND THE ENGINE POWER REDUCED MESSAGE DISPLAYED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN SPITZER AUTOWORLD LORDSTOWN, LLC (10535 MAHONING AVE, NORTH JACKSON, OH 44451), BUT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED NOR REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS PREVIOUSLY TAKEN TO TWO UNKNOWN DEALERS WHERE THE VEHICLE WAS DIAGNOSED AND THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE THROTTLE BODY GASKET NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 16,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
