Rear axle half shaft and hub replacement assembly (Manufacturer Recall Number 25S82 NHTSA Recall Number25V512). Neither Ford nor the local dealership seem to care about repairing this issue in a timely manner. The truck was inspected soon after the recall was received. The dealer confirmed that my truck fell under the recall. They supposedly placed an order for parts at that time (October 2025). A year later the repair has not been completed. I have contacted Ford Customer Service twice about the parts availability issue. Ford states the parts are available. The dealership states the parts are not available. According to the NTSB, recall repairs should happen in a timely manner. If they don't, NTSB suggests filing a complaint. I believe more than a year of waiting, with noting done, has given both Ford and the dealership ample time for repairs to be completed. This is an official complaint regarding the lack of expediency by both Ford and the local dealership.
NHTSA complaint 11767949THE REAR BRAKE LIGHT LED FAILED AND FORD REFUSED TO COVER UNDER THEIR 4/48000 BUMPER TO BUMPER WARRANTY, THERE IS NO DAMAGE TO THE LIGHT ASSEMBLY AND THE FAILURE IS GOING TO COST $1700 TO CORRECT. FOR A LIGHT BULB(LED SO NO BULB) ISSUE, THIS IS FRAUD FROM FORD NOT HONORING COVERAGES AND FOR NOT SELLING A VEHICLE WITH NON SERVICABLE PARTS FOR COMMON FAILURE POINTS
NHTSA complaint 11767492I am reporting a safety-related transmission problem I experienced with my 2023 Ford F-150 equipped with the 10R80 automatic transmission. While driving normally, the transmission suddenly shifts violently, lurches from P to D, delayed shifting. This occurred while while driving under normal conditions creating a potentially dangerous situation because the truck did not respond as expected when I needed predictable acceleration or propulsion. I believe this incident may be related to the known 10R80 CDF clutch-cylinder/sleeve problem. Ford technical information identifies axial movement of the CDF sleeve that can cause hydraulic-circuit leaks and harsh or delayed engagement and shifting. This condition can result in slipping, RPM flares, delayed engagement, unexpected gear changes, harsh downshifts, lurching, or loss of propulsion. This is a safety concern, not merely a transmission quality or reliability issue. Unexpected loss of propulsion or unpredictable shifting while merging, accelerating into traffic, crossing an intersection, turning, or traveling at highway speed can create a collision hazard. Because I personally experienced this unexpected transmission event, I request that NHTSA investigate the 10R80 CDF clutch-cylinder/sleeve condition in Ford F-150s. Please review Ford warranty claims, dealer repair records, transmission replacements, consumer complaints, and field-failure data to determine whether this is a safety defect requiring a recall. I believe owners should not have to wait for a potentially dangerous transmission failure before this known condition is addressed.
NHTSA complaint 11763650This is related to obtaining a timely repair for the following recall: Manufacturer Recall Number25S82 NHTSA Recall Number25V512 Ford lacks the parts to address the recall. My recall was confirmed by the dealer, photos taken and an order placed with Ford over one year ago, after trying to have the recall addressed at another dealer. The recall was issued on May 24, 2024 and all parts are still on backorder. This is a safety concern. I get notified weekly that my vehicle needs the repairs yet none of the dealers around me have parts.
NHTSA complaint 11762090The contact owns a 2023 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while driving in a rainstorm, rainwater leaked into the vehicle from the front driver’s side windshield seal onto the dashboard. The contact was concerned that the water might eventually cause electrical failures inside the dashboard. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The local dealer was notified of the failure, and an appointment was scheduled. The failure mileage was 31,000.
NHTSA complaint 11761807I am reporting a safety-related transmission problem I experienced with my 2023 Ford F-150 equipped with the 10R80 automatic transmission. While driving normally, the transmission suddenly lost the selected gear and rims spiked and then it violently slammed into gear. It feels like it thru my truck into a limp mode. It lost 5th would not catch it going up and down thru the gears. It happened randomly. This occurred while while accelerating to merge on the highway. It also kept going it in stop and go traffic on the interstate, creating a potentially dangerous situation because the truck did not respond as expected when I needed predictable acceleration or propulsion. I believe this incident may be related to the known 10R80 CDF clutch-cylinder/sleeve problem. Ford technical information identifies axial movement of the CDF sleeve that can cause hydraulic-circuit leaks and loss of gears causing no propulsion and possibly causing a tragedy
NHTSA complaint 11761788The contact owns a 2023 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed and activating the passenger’s side turn signal, the turn signal lever started to stick. The contact researched online and located similar failures. The contact stated that the dealer was four hours away and was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 55,000.
NHTSA complaint 11761202Pirelli Tires on F150 prematurely cracking & failing w/only 16,700 miles on the tire. Tread barely has any wear. On Saturday evening XXX Left rear tire wall blew out & PSI on tire went from 35 to 0 in less than 1 second. Upon closer inspection, all tires have premature cracks in the walls & the concern is that they could also fail and explode at any moment. We were not traveling at a high speed when the rear tire wall failed, but things could have been very different if we had been a highway - without doubt a major accident would have occurred. Brought the truck immediately to Coggins Deland Ford on [XXX] on Monday morning XXX where I purchased F150 brand new about 30 months ago, there is only about 16,700 miles on the truck. I am well within the tire warranty that Ford offers for the tires & well within bumper to bumper. All 4 tires should be replaced per the Ford tire warranty as they show signs of defect. The dealer has only approved the replacement of the tire that blew out so far & instructed me to contact the tire manufacture about the other tires that are cracking at 16K miles - I contacted Pirelli and was told since the dealer is giving me a hard time, Pirelli provided me with a case number and told me to tell the dealership to file a claim which they already know to do. Ford should provide the tire warranty on the tires per their own policy that is clearly stated on [XXX]. The dealer at first tired to tell me the tire only has warranty for 12,000 but it is not true, Ford provides prorated warranty on new tires up to 36,000 miles - when I showed the tire warranty chart from [XXX]- the service manager agreed with me & told me the service rep didn't inform me correctly & apologized. I just want defective tires replaced per the warranty that I was promised when I purchased my truck, I want to feel safe driving. Ford should not risk my life or my families life- the cracks are visible. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
NHTSA complaint 11761148While driving the button to engage shift gear came off causing me to not be able to switch gears to put vehicle in park. It fell off while driving
NHTSA complaint 11761130The contact owns a 2023 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while attempting to park the vehicle, the gear shifter was sticking. The contact stated that the failure reoccurred. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked, the gear shifter was shifted into park; however, the shifter gear independently shifted into reverse. The vehicle crashed into the garage at the residence. The contact stated that the failure had occurred after the vehicle was reversed to attach the trailer to the vehicle. The contact was almost struck by the vehicle. The dealer was not made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 20,000.
NHTSA complaint 11759664While driving at speed, my vehicle experienced a severe safety hazard: the transmission jerked violently and the engine completely stalled on the road, causing an immediate loss of power. The dealership diagnosed the truck and stated that tree debris had plugged the cowl drains at the base of the windshield. Because the drains plugged, rainwater backed up and overflowed directly into the passenger cabin, soaking the Body Control Module (BCM) and crashing the central computer network. A vehicle's central computer network should not be engineered in a way that normal outdoor tree debris can completely flood an interior cabin module and cause a dangerous drivetrain shutdown while driving.
NHTSA complaint 11759546As I was stopping at an intersection for a redlight, the brakes locked up and the collision assist warning and another message came up on the screen. There were no cars in front of me at the intersection. This is the first time that this has ever happened and the truck has 32,665 miles. No servicing has been performed on this truck beyond oil changes and tire rotations.
NHTSA complaint 11759331Passenger side vertical LED drivers running light bar is out on 2023 Ford F-150 XLT Supercrew. Have heard and seen many Ford F150 trucks that have had this issue. Faulty LED diod heats and burns the light tube from which the light is generated. THIS IS A VERY COMMON ISSUE, IS A MANUFACTURERS DEFECTIVE PART THAT MUST BE RECALLED AND REPLACED.
NHTSA complaint 11757488The contact owns a 2023 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while reversing, the brake pedal was depressed; however, the vehicle failed to stop as intended. The contact stated that the brake pedal was depressed to the floorboard and the brake system malfunction message displayed. The contact stated that the vehicle drove onto a hilly grass embankment before coming to a complete stop. The contact stated that the failure had occurred while loading the vehicle with motorcycles for an event. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, but a diagnostic test was not performed. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 46,500.
NHTSA complaint 11755948I am reporting a safety-related transmission problem I experienced with my 2023 Ford F-150 equipped with the 10R80 automatic transmission. While driving normally, the transmission suddenly lost power and was totally unresponsive. It slammed into gear and went back to normal operation. The transmission has been reset by the dealership several times and I'm told it's normal operation for it to slam into gear on the upshift and downshift. There are no lights or warnings. This occurred while I was crossing rail road tracks creating a potentially dangerous situation because the truck did not respond as expected when I needed predictable acceleration or propulsion.
NHTSA complaint 11755461While towing a 6000 pound travel trailer 6/21/26, the brakes on the trailer failed. A trailer wiring fault message came up on the dash each time I braked. It is available for inspection. How was our safety put at risk??? Stopping distance was increased substantually. When you need to stop, you need to stop! The truck has been brought to the dealer 4 times prior to this for the same problem. One of those times was for the recall on the trailer brake, May of 2026. The first time the truck was taken to the dealer for the warning message was April of 2025. The trailer was taken to the RV dealer after the incident (on my Oct 2025 visit, the dealer told me the problem was with the trailer. I wanted to rule that out). The RV dealer found no problem with the trailer brakes, and determined the problem is with the truck. The truck was then taken to the dealer July 23 with "Trailer Brake Module Fault" message every time it is started. It remains at the dealer now. They believe it is the trailer brake control module. The module is on backorder with no estimated time for repair.
NHTSA complaint 11755242275/50 R22 I was driving on a major interstate approximately 65 mph when a strong vibration was felt. As I started to move to the shoulder and slow down, the tread detached from the tire. The tire remained on the vehicle but the tread delaminated and was in the middle of the highway. This caused significant (>$11k) damages to the truck. I sent the tire to Continental and they declined taking liability for the tire failure. However, this happened to another owner a week or two after my issue and they had the same tire with only 30k miles. Additionally, there is already a recall on the same type of tire (different size) from last year due to tire delamination. This is a serious safety issue that could result in fatalities.
NHTSA complaint 11754535Delayed/unexpected transmission gear changes. The transmission delays downshifts at slow speeds causing the vehicle to not accelerate when acceleration is needed. This causes a huge safety issue when maneuvering in traffic (for example). Please help me with a solution to this.
NHTSA complaint 11754322I am reporting a safety-related transmission problem I experienced with my 2023 Ford F-150 equipped with the 10R80 automatic transmission. While driving normally, the transmission suddenly shifts down violently from 10th to 8th gear, and rapidly jumping from 10th to 8th to 10th, causing harsh shifts. This occurred while driving on a highway or above 60mph. Just cruising and traveling. creating a potentially dangerous situation because the truck did not respond as expected when I needed predictable acceleration or propulsion. I believe this incident may be related to the known 10R80 CDF clutch-cylinder/sleeve problem. Ford technical information identifies axial movement of the CDF sleeve that can cause hydraulic-circuit leaks and harsh or delayed engagement and shifting. NHTSA complaint 11754209I am reporting a safety-related transmission problem I experienced with my 2023 Ford F-150 equipped with the 10R80 automatic transmission. While driving normally, the transmission has suddenly lost propulsion, jerked, and hard down shifted impacting braking. This occurred while trying to merge onto freeways and making turns into lanes containing traffic, creating a potentially dangerous situation because the truck did not respond as expected when I needed predictable acceleration or propulsion. I believe this incident may be related to the known 10R80 CDF clutch-cylinder/sleeve problem. Ford technical information identifies axial movement of the CDF sleeve that can cause hydraulic-circuits. I've also experienced similar issues with this transmission after warranty repairs had been completed.
NHTSA complaint 11754167Technical service bulletins and other notices the manufacturer sent to dealers. A bulletin is not a recall; the 60 most recent are listed.
