FOOT SHIFTER SHAFT HAD SPLINE STRIPPED OUT INNER SIDE OF SHAFT. SHAFT MATERIAL IS TOO SOFT, OR BAD DESIGN (INNER SIDE DOESN'T NEED TO BE SPLINED, COULD BE KEYED).
