The contact owns a 2024 Honda CR-V. The contact stated that the carpet was lifting where the floor mat connected to the retention hooks near the driver's side door panel. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was determined that the carpet needed to be replaced; however, the repair was not covered under warranty. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer, where the carpet was replaced twice; however, the failure recurred with the carpet sliding down from underneath the dashboard, shifting away from the door seal and retention hooks. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where the failure was confirmed, and the carpet was repositioned, but the driver's side seat sliding mechanism became stuck. The dealer determined that the driver's seat motor had failed and it was replaced. The carpet failure persisted and continued sliding down near the pedals. The vehicle was taken to a second dealer, Norm Reeves Honda Superstore West Covina (1840 E Garvey Ave S, West Covina, CA 91791), where an inspection revealed that the driver's side kick panel was loose and not properly secured, and the first dealer had attempted to repair the carpet by using a staple to attach it to the firewall, possibly causing the carpet to rip apart. The contact was referred to the first dealer, who stated that the district manager had not approved the repair because the vehicle was out of warranty. The manufacturer was notified of the failure by phone, and four separate reports were filed. The failure mileage was approximately 10,060.
NHTSA complaint 11768055The headlights are reflective instead of projector headlights. When driving at night you can’t fully see the road ahead. I was turning and almost hit a pedestrian.
NHTSA complaint 11766058A county wide emergency alert broadcast a very loud alert received by my 2024 CRv's infotainment system. This caused a spike in the car's electrical power. This confused the Idle Stop System. This caused my car to stall in the middle of a left turn onto a heavily trafficked road ([XXX] in [XXX].) I was very lucky that the other cars in the intersection were able to stop, so ther was no collision in this particular case. NHTSA complaint 11765994Felt like the gas petal got stuck and caused a crash all air bags depoyed no forward collision warning or breaking activated
NHTSA complaint 11765722The steering wheel vibrates at the exact moment the power steering warning light turns on while driving. We just bought the car from a dealership.
NHTSA complaint 11765155Vehicle: 2024 Honda CR-V I am reporting a longstanding steering safety concern that existed well before my recent accident. I first reported steering problems to an authorized Honda dealership when my vehicle had approximately 1,155 miles. I reported difficulty with the steering wheel returning to center and the steering grabbing to one side. I subsequently returned to Honda multiple times for steering-related concerns. At approximately 2,121 miles I reported the vehicle pulling left or right on the highway. At approximately 4,910 miles I again reported pulling and a sensation that the steering wheel was pulling by itself. At approximately 5,693 miles I reported that the vehicle would move to the right at highway speed and required constant steering correction. At approximately 15,754 miles, I reported that the steering felt very tight and that two hands were necessary because of the high steering effort. At approximately 25,468 miles, after I reported that the steering was sticking, the steering gearbox/power-steering rack was replaced. I subsequently continued experiencing steering-related issues and returned for additional service. Most recently, at approximately 34,603 miles, I again reported tight steering, pulling to the right and shaking at highway speeds. On September 04, 2026, at approximately 38000 miles, while driving in wet conditions, I was involved in a loss-of-control/hydroplaning accident. During the event I was driving in traffic and following other vehicles, I was maintaining control of my vehicle with both hands on the steering wheel. During the incident, I suddenly noticed that the vehicle began pulling or steering sharply to the right, despite my efforts to maintain the vehicle's direction. As I attempted to correct the vehicle's direction and steer to the left, I experienced significant resistance in the steering, and the steering became unusually difficult to turn to the left. I was unable to regain proper directional control of
NHTSA complaint 117636082024 Honda CR-V Hybrid Sport, bought new April 2024, still under 3yr/36k warranty. All four original tires (235/60R18) hit the wear indicators at about 23,000 miles, worn most at the inner shoulder. Serviced only at the selling Honda dealer with no missed intervals. Tires rotated at 5,450, 14,256 and 19,746 miles. Dealer performed a four wheel alignment at 14,256 miles. Pressures kept at door jamb spec. Never driven hard, off road, overloaded or towed with. Safety concern: the dealer documented a tire condition inspection at 19,746 miles on 06/09/2026, when tires were about 3,250 miles from the wear bars. They recommended an alignment but did not recommend tire replacement, did not disclose tread depth, and gave no warning the tires were near end of life. I kept driving at highway speed unaware tread was marginal, increasing hydroplaning and loss of control risk in wet conditions. The wear rate is abnormal for a vehicle maintained on schedule and aligned at 14,256 miles. The dealer said alignment now reads acceptable and refused to diagnose the cause. The General Manager declined assistance. American Honda reviewed it at district level and authorized nothing. No explanation was given. Honda TSB 20-081, Rapid Rear Tire Wear, names rear alignment as the cause on 2017-2020 CR-V and 2020 CR-V Hybrid. Many 2023-2024 CR-V Hybrid owners report original tires finished at 13,500 to 25,000 miles. Requesting investigation into premature and uneven tire wear on 2023 and later CR-V and CR-V Hybrid, including rear suspension geometry and factory alignment spec. No crash, fire or injury.
NHTSA complaint 11762730Sudden unexpected acceleration while pulling into a parking spot.
NHTSA complaint 11762675I own a 2024 Honda CR-V EX-L with approximately 59,628 miles. While driving the vehicle, multiple warning lights began flashing on the dashboard. At the same time, the vehicle became difficult to drive and did not feel as though it was operating normally. I was concerned for my safety because the problem occurred while the vehicle was being driven. The vehicle was taken to two different authorized Honda dealership for diagnosis. I was informed that the fuel injectors had failed and needed to be replaced. The dealership quoted approximately $2,500 for the repair and told me that the fuel-injector failure was considered normal “wear and tear.” I am concerned that fuel injectors would fail on a 2024 Honda CR-V with only approximately 59,628 miles. I am particularly concerned because the failure was accompanied by multiple dashboard warning lights and made the vehicle difficult to drive. I believe this issue should be investigated as a potential safety defect because a fuel-injector failure that affects the vehicle's drivability could create a dangerous situation while the vehicle is being operated. I have contacted American Honda Motor Co. regarding the issue and requested that Honda review the fuel-injector failure for applicable warranty, emissions-warranty, service campaign, or goodwill coverage.
NHTSA complaint 11761818The contact owns a 2024 Honda CR-V. The contact stated that while at traffic light and holding steering wheel, there was a pinching on steering wheel and steering wheel was turning slowly. The failure was intermittent. The dealer was contacted and diagnosed the vehicle with rack and pinion failure. The contact was informed that the rack and pinion needed to be replaced. The vehicle was previously repaired under warranty; however, the failure reoccurred. The manufacturer was contacted by phone and was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 8,000.
NHTSA complaint 11761714Steering feels sticky/jerky when turning left. Front-left tire outer edge is severely worn down, while other tires are normal. Honda recall 24V744 for steering gearbox was completed, but the problem persists. I suspect the steering rack is defective, causing misalignment and abnormal tire wear. This affects vehicle control and safety.
NHTSA complaint 117610132024 Honda CRV. Battery went dead. Air conditioner stopped working. Honda dealership said the compressor is bad. Part is covered by warranty but must use a Honda part. Honda said part is not available nationwide. I live in Florida and temperatures exceeding 90 degrees. No estimated time for delivery.
NHTSA complaint 11759674The contact owns a 2024 Honda CR-V. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V744000 (Steering), and the vehicle was taken to the dealer, where the recall repair was completed; however, the failure occurred while driving. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds and turning, the steering wheel made abnormal sounds, was sticking, and failed to return to center. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer, where the contact was informed that a diagnostic fee was required, and the contact was asked to sign a document. The contact declined to pay the fee or sign the document. Additionally, the contact stated that the windshield wipers were malfunctioning, intermittently moving past the windshield trim and failing to touch the glass while operational. The dealer was notified of the windshield wiper failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failures. The failure mileage was approximately 90,000.
NHTSA complaint 11759635On August 20, 2026 at approximately 3:45 pm the vehicle slammed on it's brakes unexpectedly with the ACC active. The ACC was set to 45mph as per the speed limit and was traveling at that speed until the brakes suddenly engaged and abruptly reduced the speed to 20mph. It was sunny, 91 degrees there were no cars, obstructions or shadows and the vehicle had been washed and clean 2 days before.
NHTSA complaint 11759530Car accelerated unexpectedly when braking at a parking spot. Car accelerated over the curb and hit another car.
NHTSA complaint 11759126Upon driving steering appears normal then starts to feel a little tight as if I was loosing power steering then goes back to normal.
NHTSA complaint 11758678What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? Wiper system malfunctions by allowing driver side wiper to intermittently reach varied end positions, sometimes striking the A-pillar. Vehicle is available for inspection upon request (has been inspected by dealer already). How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? While driving in heavy rain, wiper erratically slamming into A-pillar is distracting and has caused me to try to adjust wiper speed and settings to prevent wiper arm from potentially breaking, which could be dangerous in certain higher speed conditions in heavy rain/low visibility. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? Yes, dealer was able to observe/reproduce the highly variable end position of the drivers side wiper. Dealer notes wiper shows up to 6 inch variance in where it stops. They could also see by the wiper marks on the windshield the variation in the end position. However, they compared the wiper function to another CRV and said it seems normal and refused warranty repair because the wiper was not broken or misadjusted at this time. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? No. Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? No warning lamps or messages. Symptom is recurring since purchase of the vehicle. However, the wiper only demonstrates the ability to strike the A-pillar during heavier rain and use of wipers for longer periods (which has not happened frequently during time I've owned/driven vehicle).
NHTSA complaint 11758643The windshield wipers and system of water delivery from the blades onto the windshield is a total disaster. You can easily have an accident due to extremely poor visibility after using the windshield wipers to clean the windshield with water, especially if the sun glares on your windshield which is now smeared not clean and reflects and refracts all the smear. You can't see and aggravates the driver. I almost did have an accident. Very scarry to have such poor visibility when you expect to clean your windshield not to smear it! Water is dispersed from the blades way too late in the sequence and the quantities are too small to perform a cleaning, not even a suboptimal one. I asked the dealer to fix the timer and it cannot be done. I also asked to allow more water to be deliver earlier in the sequence and that can't be done either. In addition, the water tank for the window cleaning is way too small as you try to keep cleaning since it only smears. Honda needs to address this issue. I was a Honda enthusiast since the early 90's, but I will never buy a Honda again if they don't change this design which is a total safety hazard. This happens all the time when you try to clean the windshield and it is dry outside. At least when it is raining the rainwater helps. I uploaded some pictures below that shows a “clean” smeared after trying 3 times to clean the windshield using new blades. Extremely unsafe and disappointing of Honda's "new" useless design. They can at least change the software to allow the service dealers to reset the time of the water delivery sequence to be instant when the blade is still down and to have more water be delivered. Currently the water delivery happens only when the blades made it up already, after they already smeared a dry window and in the mean time you lose all the water delivered at the point and the windshield is not clean, but smeared. I am retired engineer by profession and Honda can go back to the design board to come up with a fix.
NHTSA complaint 11758013On 17 July 2026, I was attempting to park in a handicap parking place at May Washington Hospital Center. The outdoor parking lot is to the right of the hospital entrance and consists of several terraced rows with each terrace a few feet below the one above it. I was halfway into the parking space with my foot on the brake when the car (2024 CRV Hybrid Touring) suddenly accelerated. I pushed the brake pedal but it had no effect. There were no warnings from the safety systems. The front driver side hit a light pole which was the only thing that stopped me from going over the curb completely and dropping down onto the car below. The low speed crash still caused a total loss.
NHTSA complaint 11757546The contact owns a 2024 Honda CR-V. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 26V366000 (Tires); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. Two local dealers were contacted. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure.
