The contact owns a 2023 Hyundai Palisade. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V607000 (Seat Belts); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The dealer was made aware of the issue and confirmed that parts were not yet available. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue by phone. The contact had not experienced a failure.
NHTSA complaint 11767532I have a 2023 Hyundai Palisade Issue: At low speeds under 20 MPH, on bumpy, rough surfaces, more noticeable when turning (left or right) and going on an incline (up or down), there is low level noise from the backend undercarriage of the Palisade such as clunking or thumping noise. The failure is persistent and gotten progressively worse. The failure was duplicated at the dealer. This is a known issue from Hyundai. See Technical Service Bulletin 26-SS-001H created on May 2026 Hyundai has formally acknowledged this rear-shock noise problem. Technical Service Bulletin 26-SS-001H, Warranty Extension Z12. Problem: Certain Palisades may have a clunking or thumping noise from the rear while driving over rough roads, caused by worn self-leveling rear shock absorbers. In the Technical Service Bulletin 26-SS-001H it says Please note that for the first repair, replacement of both rear shock absorbers will be covered by this warranty extension. For subsequent repairs, one or both rear shock absorbers will be covered depending upon the impacted side(s). I reviewed the Hyundai TSB 26-SS-001H closely. I think I have a solid basis for a firm escalation email, especially because Hyundai's own bulletin specifically contemplates "subsequent repairs" for the same rear shock problem. This raises a serious question for me as an owner: What is Hyundai's permanent corrective action for this problem? Replacing the same suspension components repeatedly after the condition returns is not an acceptable long-term solution. I should not have to repeatedly return a relatively new vehicle to the dealership for the same suspension problem, particularly after the prescribed repair has already been performed and the condition returned approximately one month later. I will write a professional but firm email to the Dealer (who has been very nice and Hyundai. If they cannot fix it, I will need to review my state's lemon law requirements.
NHTSA complaint 11767303I am reporting a serious safety issue involving a 2023 Hyundai Palisade with approximately 26,000 miles. While the vehicle is being driven, the ESC warning light illuminates and the vehicle can unexpectedly come to a stop, shift into Park, and shut down. The vehicle must then be restarted before it can be driven again. This condition has occurred while the vehicle is in operation and creates a significant safety concern because the vehicle can unexpectedly stop in the roadway. If this occurs in traffic or at highway speeds, there is a risk of a rear-end collision or other crash. The vehicle has been presented to/communicated about with an authorized Hyundai dealership, ALM Hyundai Florence in Florence, South Carolina, but the issue has not been resolved. I am also reporting the issue directly to Hyundai Motor America. I am requesting that NHTSA document and investigate this condition to determine whether other 2023 Hyundai Palisade vehicles have experienced similar ESC-related shutdown, stopping, or unintended shifting-to-Park events and whether a safety defect may exist.
NHTSA complaint 11764768The seat belts in passenger seat don’t work either too long or won’t extend Forward collision warning is always on AC Does not work properly I’ve called the Hyundai redmccombs dealership multiple times and even Took the car and they Said the part was ready then they say it wasn’t The seat belts is a huge safety concern since I do have children and other Riders. It’s unacceptable to be promised the car fixed then delayed . I spent time at the dealership, gas and not Being able to pick up my child due to this .
NHTSA complaint 11763079I am reporting an unresolved safety issue involving the seat belt buckle recall on my 2023 Hyundai Palisade (NHTSA Recall 25V-607 / Hyundai Campaign 283). For several months, I have repeatedly contacted Hyundai Myrtle Beach attempting to have the recall repair completed. I do not have the exact dates of every telephone call, but there have been multiple attempts. I was repeatedly advised that the necessary replacement parts were unavailable. The situation is particularly concerning because the front passenger seat belt is now not functioning properly. This is no longer only a potential recall-related safety concern; there is currently a seating position in my vehicle where the seat belt cannot be relied upon to function properly. I transport my children in this vehicle and am concerned about their safety. After repeated unsuccessful attempts through the dealership, I escalated the matter to Hyundai Consumer Affairs. Consumer Affairs arranged an appointment several weeks in advance for September 1, 2026, at Hyundai Myrtle Beach. My Consumer Affairs representative confirmed that the recall repair would be performed at this appointment. I drove to the dealership for the scheduled appointment expecting the vehicle to be repaired. Upon arrival, I was informed that the dealership did not have the replacement seat belt parts and could not perform the repair. Despite repeated attempts through both the dealership and Hyundai Consumer Affairs, the recall remains unrepaired and the front passenger seat belt remains nonfunctional. I am concerned about Hyundai’s ability to provide this safety recall remedy, particularly when a seat belt has already malfunctioned, and whether other Palisade owners are experiencing similar delays. I am requesting that NHTSA review Hyundai’s handling and parts availability for this recall.
NHTSA complaint 11761257Recall # 26V034000 for my 2023 Hyundai Palisade has not been resolved after 9 months since it was issued. Dealership all say they do not have the parts to remedy this recall. I have made repeated attempts to get this issue resolved and I have contacted the manufacturer for assistance but they have not resolved the issue. I get the run around. The dealership say they do not have the parts the manufactures says that the dealerships should have the parts. I find it totally unacceptable that the dealerships cannot resolve this serious safety issue. It is a critical safety issue that should be resolved.
NHTSA complaint 11761175Recall number 25V607000 for my 2023 Hyundai Palisade has been in effect for one year and the dealerships continue to state they do not have the parts to correct this recall. This is a safety issue because it involves seat belts. I have contacted the manufacturer for assistance but this has not resulted in resolution of this issue. I find it totally unacceptable for there to be a safety recall on a vehicle for one year with no resolution for car owners that put us and our passengers in danger. This is very serious and I need help to resolve this to get the manufacturer and the dealer to resolve this safety issue.
NHTSA complaint 11761173The engine shuts off to accessory mode when the car is parked or idle for more than 1 minute or so, and the “engine auto” is turned off (light illuminated)— this is our observed correlation. To clarify, the engine auto is automatically turned on when the car starts— the engine will automatically turn off for a short period of time and restart on its own. When the “engine auto” button is illuminated, and this issue occurs, the engine does not restart on its own, the cluster lights illuminate, air conditioner stops and the car must be restarted (foot on brake and push engine start button) to resume driving. This can happen several times in one day and often takes place if the vehicle is parked or idle— while in highway traffic, at a traffic light or stop sign included. My safety and the safety of my children and other passengers is at risk each time this takes place. We have impeded the flow of traffic on several occasions. Just today, 8/30/26 the auto start light in the cluster blinked 7 or 8 times when the engine turned back on automatically— this time, the engine auto button was not pressed (light was off).
NHTSA complaint 11761049The contact owns a 2023 Hyundai Palisade. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V607000 (Seat Belts). The vehicle was taken to the dealer several times and the contact was informed that parts were on back order. The contact's spouse was afraid of driving the vehicle with the unrepaired recall repair. The manufacturer was contacted but provided no assistance. The contact had not experienced a failure.
NHTSA complaint 11760920On June 27, 2026 I started the vehicle and every warning light came on and the gauge cluster started cycling through system failure warnings for most every component/system on the vehicle. The vehicle was barely drivable, with no power steering, no backup camera, no AC, inoperable gauges, no safety/driver aids, and hard shifting. It was taken to Bentley Hyundai in Huntsville the same day. The vehicle was diagnosed with a CANBUS failure and after weeks of troubleshooting they said it was a bad engine wiring harness. The new harness was installed under our extended factory warranty this week. I was informed today, August 29, 2026, that there are still electrical issues with the vehicle. I am concerned about the safety of this vehicle now due to the length of time it has been at the dealership, 60+ days, and continuing issues even after replacement of a major component of the electrical system.
NHTSA complaint 11760495I am writing to file a formal complaint XXX regarding a severe safety defect on my 2023 Hyundai Palisade. On XXX, in [XXX] while driving under normal operating conditions, the sunroof glass spontaneously exploded with a loud noise resembling a gunshot. There was no vehicle ahead of me, no overpass overhead, and absolutely no external object or road debris struck the vehicle. The glass shattered violently upward and outward, which is a clear physical indicator of a spontaneous thermal or pressure-induced failure caused by a manufacturing defect, rather than an impact. As you are aware, spontaneous sunroof shattering is a heavily documented issue across 2023 and 2024 Hyundai Palisade models. Numerous identical complaints have been filed with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), pointing to a known defect in the tempering or structural stress of the panoramic glass panels. I have attached photos and a video of it still making sounds in the photo, you can also tell it is bubbling upward. This vehicle is well within its 5-year/60,000-mile New Vehicle Limited Warranty period. This failure represents a severe, sudden compromise of passenger safety, and I expect Hyundai to honor its warranty obligations. I demand that Hyundai Motor America authorize a full replacement of the sunroof glass, a thorough cleaning of the headliner/cabin to remove microscopic glass shards, and a complimentary loaner vehicle while the repair is being completed. I look forward to your immediate response and prompt resolution to this safety matter. Sincerely, [XXX] and [XXX] [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
NHTSA complaint 117589682023 Hyundai Palisade Calligraphy less than 3 years old has a leaking factory radiator. Hyundai has TSBs for this on earlier models, but it is still happening.
NHTSA complaint 11758143On August 4, 2026, our 2023 Hyundai Palisade was brought in for a routine oil change and rear tint recall. The driver's power seat height adjustment mechanism worked perfectly upon drop-off. When the car was picked up, the height adjustment function was no longer operable. The service department inspected the car and admitted that a factory wire bundle beneath the track was physically snapped/severed. To make matters worse, we discovered upon pickup that the vehicle's computer system had been completely factory reset. This was done without our knowledge or consent. When questioned about this, the service manager was entirely unable to provide any valid justification for why an oil change/rear window tint service would require a total system reset. This strongly indicates that service person experienced an electrical short or attempted deep electronic troubleshooting while the vehicle was in their possession, further implicating their shop in this damage. The service manager insists that their team did not cause the damage. However, they were unable to return the seat to the position it was in when dropped off. The primary driver of this vehicle is under 5 feet tall. Because Hyundai returned the car with the seat locked at its lowest setting and was unable to raise it, the primary driver cannot safely maintain visibility over the dashboard. She had to adjust the steering wheel to its lowest setting in order to operate the vehicle. The current configuration is not the ideal, nor safest setup. She uses this car to transport the children and we need the driver's seat operable again as soon as possible.

NHTSA complaint 11755490Recall was issued 9/11/25. As of 8/1/26 Hyundai still tells me they do not have the parts. Passengers have had difficulty getting seat belts to latch properly.
NHTSA complaint 11754145unknown, been trying since 2024-2025 to get the back seat belt recall done only to be told its on back order not sure when it will be available. In the meantime I have my kids in the back seat , The dealership response was to get an "rental car" until the parts come in.
NHTSA complaint 11753595I was driving and stopped at the tunnel for traffic. My car shut off and wouldn’t turn back on. It seemed to have overheated. After about ten minutes, it started again. I was told it was told the oil pump controller affecting the stop and go on my car. Priority Hyundaii in [XXX] didn’t didn’t have the part to repair it. Now they are refusing to repair it. NHTSA complaint 11752730Following a recall repair on the rear seatbelt assembly of a 2023 Hyundai Palisade, a severe safety design defect was discovered. The replacement buckle installed by the dealer lacks proper flexibility and clearance. Consequently, when the second-row seats are folded down, the seat frame directly crushes and structurally damages the rigid plastic buckle, as the component cannot clear its designated protective slot. This issue presents an extreme safety risk. The second-row seatbelt buckle is now cracked, crushed, and structurally compromised, rendering the restraint system unsafe and unusable for rear-seat passengers, including my young children. In the event of a collision, a structurally damaged buckle could fail to hold, leading to severe injury or ejection. There were no warning lamps or symptoms prior to failure; the damage was only discovered after folding the second-row seats down. The failure is 100% reproducible every time the seat is folded due to the geometry and lack of movement in the installed recall component. The vehicle was brought to an authorized dealership service center, where the damaged component was physically present and inspected. While the dealer confirmed the buckle is physically crushed and left the service order open, both the dealership and manufacturer customer support have refused to correct the installation or replace the damaged safety part under warranty, falsely claiming normal wear and tear. The vehicle is available for immediate inspection upon request. This complaint is being filed because a manufacturer safety recall repair directly caused a vital restraint system to self-destruct during normal vehicle operation (folding seats), and the manufacturer is refusing to remedy the compromised safety equipment.
NHTSA complaint 11752492My seat buckles have been on recall since last year and they still have not fixed them. I have been to the dealership capital Hyundai in Greensboro, NC multiple times to try and get them fixed. They told me in January that it would be fixed in February. I am concerned to drive my car with my kids if they are not latching properly.
NHTSA complaint 11752182Technical service bulletins and other notices the manufacturer sent to dealers. A bulletin is not a recall; the 60 most recent are listed.
