am filing this complaint regarding a serious safety incident involving my leased 2025 INFINITI QX60 and INFINITI’s response to the incident. While the vehicle was parked, the second-row seat was being manually operated when a child’s foot became trapped within the seat mechanism. The child’s foot could not be released despite repeated attempts. The child remained trapped for approximately one hour, and 911 was called for assistance. Emergency responders ultimately had to remove/dismantle the second-row seat in order to free the child. The child required medical evaluation and treatment following the incident, resulting in medical expenses. The emergency rescue also left the vehicle’s seat damaged and in need of repair. The incident was reported to INFINITI because of our concern that a child was able to become trapped in the seat mechanism during its operation. INFINITI subsequently arranged for the vehicle to be inspected. Following its investigation, INFINITI informed us that it did not believe the vehicle or seat had malfunctioned and, based on that conclusion, declined to provide any financial assistance. Our concern, however, is not limited to whether INFINITI considers the seat to have mechanically “malfunctioned.” If the seat operated as INFINITI says it was designed to operate, we believe that raises an important safety question as to how a child’s foot could become trapped so severely that emergency responders had to remove the seat to free the child. We were not aware of a risk that operation of the second-row seat could result in this type of entrapment, nor were we provided with a clear or conspicuous warning that alerted us to this specific danger before the incident. We are asking that this matter be reviewed as a potential vehicle safety and consumer issue. We would also like INFINITI to address the actual circumstances of the incident and the adequacy of the warnings and safeguards associated with the second-row seat, rather than limiting its

NHTSA complaint 117672052026 QX60.. multiple dash lights came on at once. AWD disabled, Anti lock brakes disabled, parking sensors disabled, check engine light. Dealership was unable to find a problem and chocked it up to a sensor. 2nd trip to shop was a failure to start, road service came out and said the battery was fine. Vehicle was towed to dealership. 2 trips to shop on a new vehicle that’s 10 weeks old. Dealership has no answers for either problem.
NHTSA complaint 11765426I was in drive and stopped to make a left hand turn. When it was my turn to go, I pressed on the gas and did not move, so I looked over at the gear shift and it switched itself into Neutral from Drive, by itself. I did not touch it or bump it.
NHTSA complaint 11761862On August 8, 2026 at around 10:18am, while driving at a speed of approximately 40mph, my sunroof spontaneously exploded outwards without any external impact. The tempered glass suffered a sudden structural failure and burst outward while driving, without any external rock strike or road debris collision. I have photographic evidence showing the glass coned upward and outward confirming severe pressure or manufacturing anomaly. The glass debris flew to other lanes. Witnesses who checked on us after we stopped stated they saw the external explosion outward as well as the glass debris flying on other lanes.
NHTSA complaint 11757753While uninstalling a Chicco Fit360 ClearTex rotating convertible car seat, we discovered that the load-bearing webbing connecting the car seat base to a lower-anchor connector had completely separated. The car seat had not been involved in any crash or impact, and nothing struck or contacted the seat during removal. The separation was not visible during normal use. The seat had become loose, but we did not know that the lower-anchor webbing itself had failed. Because this webbing secured the base to the vehicle’s lower anchor, the failure severely compromised the installation while our child had been riding in the seat. In a collision, the restraint might not have remained secured to the vehicle. The car seat has been removed from use. It has not yet been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurer, or another party. The seat, separated webbing, photographs, and video have been preserved and are available for inspection upon request. We purchased two identical seats and are concerned that other units may experience the same safety-critical failure. We request investigation as a potential safety defect.
NHTSA complaint 11755643The vehicle exhibits active optical manufacturing defects causing continuous visual distortion across the front windshield. The distortion warps horizontal and vertical straight lines while driving. This visual warping severely impacts depth perception, causes eye strain, and induces motion sickness, resulting in physical disorientation during vehicle operation.
NHTSA complaint 11750059We are reporting two safety-related concerns involving a new 2026 INFINITI QX60 Sport. At delivery, a linear abrasion approximately 42 inches in length was present across the front roof panel and was not disclosed prior to sale. When this condition was raised, the dealership dismissed it by text message without performing a physical inspection. At a later date, the dealership applied a coating or protection product over the roof panel despite the presence of visible damage and potential surface contamination. Due to the length, location, and linear nature of the abrasion across a primary roof panel, we are concerned the damage may be consistent with transport-related strap or tie-down contact, raising questions about panel integrity, corrosion protection, and the vehicle’s condition as represented at sale. We are also reporting a child safety equipment concern. The dealership applied a chemical interior or fabric protection product while child safety seats and/or booster seats remained installed in the vehicle. The seats were not removed, and no warning, consent, or disclosure was provided. Child restraint systems are federally regulated safety devices, and chemical exposure — including overspray or vapor — may affect harness webbing, foam, or material performance in a manner not evaluated under FMVSS requirements. We submit these concerns in good faith for NHTSA’s safety review and tracking.
NHTSA complaint 11707333Hello, When I originally leased this vehicle I had electrical issues with the radio and also an intermittent rotten egg smell. I have brought my car in for this they said they fixed the radio issue but didn’t smell the smell we were smelling in it. As soon as I got it back the same stuff was happening again. I had brought it back in for service and they said they couldn’t find anything from with it. In October I was at a shopping center and and my car wouldn’t start. I had called they told me service was closing I would need to call for a tow truck I walked home because I needed to get to my son’s football game and picked up the other set of keys walked back and the vehicle started. I know it’s not the keys because the vehicle wouldn’t start with the phone app. Since that day 3 other times the vehicle wouldn’t start but eventually did within a few minutes. Last night as I was leaving the hospital visiting my mom my car wouldn’t open. I tried a few times and then used the app and the app was able to unlock the car doors. This is a brand new 2026 vehicle and I’m not getting help from the service department at the dealership. Can you please advise me on what to do?
