NHTSA complaint 11753085Bought the trailer brand new. One of the leaf springs completely snapped and broke while driving on a smooth road. Trailer was not overloaded. Leaf springs were replaced twice by warranty with the same parts and the springs were flat and W shaped each time. The are supposed to be U shaped. The part they are installing on the trailers are not sufficient and going to cause death or injury. Photo included is the 2nd replacement right after install. Empty of water and leaf springs were already failing!
NHTSA complaint 11677927The entry door on my Jayco 264BH has become extremely difficult to open and close because the bottom of the door is rubbing against or making contact with the frame. This makes it nearly impossible for children to enter or exit the RV safely. In addition, closing the door from inside the RV is very difficult, which poses a significant safety risk—especially in emergency situations where quick exit may be necessary. This defect could prevent occupants, including children, from exiting the vehicle quickly and safely.
NHTSA complaint 11668748The contact owns a 2023 Jayco Jay Flight Trailer. The contact stated that an MKing keyless entry door lock was installed on the trailer. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the RV door opened independently. The RV was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The contact attempted to contact the manufacturer but was unable to do so. The trailer failure mileage was unknown.
NHTSA complaint 11606484174BH-rear emergency latch is not secure when opened it can easily become ajar and may strike child in the eye causing damage. Small bumps in to the handle cause the window to shut and the handle to move back into the sleeping quarters. Further in the event a child needed to escape the window one must hold the window up. A child would not be able to hold the window up causing a safety issue. Latch catch should be larger. 14JUN2023 [edit]: (From 11526481) Trailer contains multiple Appliances that use LP in small quarters including sleeping however no CO are installed only smoke and LP leak alarm. -JPH
