While sitting stopped near a highway entrance, the panoramic sunroof of the vehicle spontaneously exploded with a loud popping sound. Glass pieces rained down the outside of the car (the interior cover was closed). After exploding, the panoramic sunroof had deep large cracks throughout the glass remaining in the middle. The edges of the glass were shattered and the pieces of glass were falling from the edges. The vehicle is currently being inspected by Lexus. There were no warning signs. Although the interior cover to the sunroof was closed at the time, my passenger and I could have been at risk for shattered glass pieces raining down inside the vehicle. The problem has not been reproduced or confirmed to my knowledge.

The Lexus NX 350 has developed a very strong odor coming from the ventilation system. The smell is consistent with standing water, stale moisture, and/or mold. This is a significant health and safety concern, as I am worried there may be standing water or mold, potentially including black mold, within the HVAC/ventilation system. If mold or contaminated moisture is present, it could potentially be circulated throughout the vehicle and contribute to respiratory irritation or allergy symptoms. I brought this concern to the dealership’s attention during a routine service visit. The cabin air filter was replaced, but this did not resolve the odor or the underlying issue. The ventilation system and potential sources of moisture have not been adequately investigated or resolved, however online review do note this is a common issue with this model. Other than routine maintenance performed by the dealership, the vehicle has not been inspected or serviced elsewhere, and I have not experienced any other issues with the vehicle. I am requesting a thorough inspection of the HVAC/ventilation system and any potential sources of water intrusion or moisture to determine the cause of the odor and ensure the vehicle is safe to operate. I am very conserned with a silent health issue, lightly brished off that may lead to lung issues ond other respitory concerns. Please take this matter seriously.

Our 19-month old Lexus NX450h with under 7,000 miles on it was not driven for a week. When we went to start the vehicle this morning, the car would not unlock via the keyfob, credit card key or app. The car required AAA to open the doors and jump start it. This is a very common failure with the 12-volt battery in the Lexus NX hybrids. This could result in a motorist being left stranded somewhere.

I purchased a brand new 2025 Lexus with only 3 miles recently I had a nail in my tire and took my vehicle to a local tire shop who could not removed the tire to put a patch because I did not have tire lock key; we searched the vehicle from top to bottom one was never given to me at the time of purchase. I contacted Lexus of Palm Beach several times and left a message for my service advisor BK and texted BK no response and several messages for the service manager who to this date has never called me back, finally BK told me that “Lexus had a new system and he didn’t received the messages” I reside in [XXX] and BK promised to coordinate with the dealership I provided him for me to obtain a tire lock key, this was June and I never heard back from BK. Last night I had issues with a different tire late at night and because I could not remove the tire I had to have my vehicle towed. However upon requesting Lexus tow company I had to wait 198 hours in for help by myself in a closed business parking lot for AAA called by the Lexus Roadside Assistance. Lexus has placed me in a life endangering situation. I am now stranded at my house with an inoperable vehicle and cannot go to work; the local dealership in Tampa does not have any appointments; this could have been avoided if not for the negligence of Lexus. Review the roadside service ticket which has my contact information I am requesting an immediate call from the dealership of Lexus of Palm Beach 5700 Okeechoobee Blvd West Palm Beach FL 33417. The interior door latch is electronic with a manual lever in case it loses power. The problem is the electronic latch will occasionally malfunctions, and the door is partially open. When this happens, you cannot get the door to open all the way with the electric door latch or the manual door latch. The only way to get it open is to pull very hard on the door to close it again or get someone to push on the outside of the door. I alerted the dealer about this, and they said I have to push harder when I open the door. This has happened to me many times. The safety issue here is plain. If a person is not strong enough to pull the door closed it will not open.

My wife was backing out of a parking space and her car did not give a warning nor did it stop as she hit another parked car. Damage to both cars was substantial and if the car was operating properly she should NOT have been able to hit another car in the manner she did. The car has been recalled for similar problems. I filed a complaint with Lexus who did an investigation and indicate there was no problem with the system. I can only say that if a person was behind the car she would have most likely run them down. The car DID NOT STOP as it was supposed to.

Please Note: The SAME problem happened to my 2025 plug in RX and 2025 plug in NX. I doubt this is a coincidence and there are plenty of websites that indicate a significant problem.

The contact owns a 2025 Lexus NX 250. The contact stated that while parking in a disabled spot, going forward, the vehicle struck a handicap post during an unintended acceleration, which then crashed into the parked vehicle in front before the contact was able to shift the vehicle into park. The contact stated that the vehicle went over the parking barriers between the spots. The front of the vehicle and the driver's side fender were damaged, and there was property damage from the handicap post. The vehicle came to a stop after hitting the post. The contact then reversed the vehicle and shifted it into park. The contact mentioned that the failure occurred during rainy weather conditions and confirmed that the accelerator pedal was not depressed during the time of the failure. No air bags were deployed. The vehicle was able to be driven from the crash scene. There were no injuries sustained, and the other parked vehicle that was crashed into was unoccupied. The contact stated that before and after the incident, no warning lights were illuminated. A police report was filed. The vehicle had not been diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 9,710.

With this 2025 Lexus NX350 Premium AWD, the front windshield glass is BADLY distorted. Looking at the road ahead while seated behind the steering wheel, objects aren't clear, they tend to be wobbly as there is a MAJOR safety issue here with the glass itself. My dealer told me that the other 2025 Lexus NX models they checked all have the same distorted windshield problem as mine does. Its so bad, I frankly can't drive the vehicle as much as I want because I get car sick, dizzy, and at times nauseated while traveling down the road. Perhaps it's a Toyota vender problem or simply a screw up with the development engineers that didn't catch the problem during the vehicles testing?

I purchased a brand-new 2025 Lexus NX 350 from Lexus of Smithtown, NY less than two months ago. At around 1,300 miles, I discovered a large amount of water pooled on the front passenger floor and could hear water sloshing inside the vehicle while driving. I immediately brought it to the dealership for inspection. According to the dealer’s service report dated October 13, 2025, technicians found the A/C drain clogged, removed the carpet from the front passenger area, and confirmed the padding was soaked with water. They recommended replacing the carpet, padding, and performing an A/C refresh service, estimating about $7,000. The dealership stated the issue was caused by “outside influence” and referred me to file an insurance claim rather than covering it under the new-vehicle warranty. The vehicle has never been exposed to flooding, road debris, or unusual environmental conditions. It is kept in a clean residential garage and driven under normal use. Given the extremely low mileage and short ownership period, this appears to be a manufacturing or design defect in the HVAC condensate drain system rather than external damage. Water intrusion inside the cabin poses potential safety and health risks, including mold growth, corrosion of electrical components, and possible impact on airbag or electronic systems. Similar A/C drain and water-leak problems have been reported by other Lexus NX owners in prior model years, suggesting a recurring design weakness that may also affect the 2025 model. Lexus should investigate whether the A/C drain design or installation allows premature blockage and issue a Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) or recall if appropriate. My lug bolts are rusted Rusted lug bolts and nuts can create several problems, including difficulty in removal or installation, damage to the studs or nuts, and even the risk of a wheel coming loose. Rust can cause the bolts and nuts to bind together, making it hard to remove them. Additionally, rust can weaken the studs, making them more prone to breakinG. All 20 are rusted The service person at herb chambers recommended they be replaced but they want to charge me $800 and state this could happen again. It has been brought to the attention of the dealership and Lexus and their only answer is that Lexus is working on a solution. Truck in front had hit brakes so I had tapped mine. Went back to cruise control to maintain distance. I hit the brakes at 0:00:15 when I realized the car was not slowing down. The brakes were palpitating and fighting me the car was not stopping. I could not go right as a car was to my right and if I went left the impact would have been on my daughter’s side and another car was coming on that side as well. Air bags did not deploy, my chest hit the steering wheel (chest impact injury soft tissue), car gave air bag deployment error. The other two cars were able to drive away. My car was undriveable. The cruise control stopped due to me pressing the brakes which did not engage. Based on my research after the accident of the brakes fighting me (pulsating as I had pressed to stop the last time) I had suspected an ABS issues. I had asked both Caliber and Lexus to check. (car only had 3598 miles) The vehicle did have an airbag error upon impact and continued to display error, which was not addressed. I am still awaiting the electronic data- (EDR Event Data Recorder) from the car to see if it aligns with video and what occurred. I was informed that the impact of 26 MPG impact was not sufficient to deploy the airbag but that does not explain why the vehicle had an SRS Airbag System malfunction immediately after the accident. There was no review of the dashcam footage showing where brakes were hit. I have attempted to contact Engineering Analysis Associates (EAA) at [XXX] . Website does not exist. On [XXX], I tried to move my vehicle from my driveway into the garage. The car would not start, and locked me inside the car. None of the electronics and electrically-operated functions worked -- the door locks, window controls, hatch release and lights were all dead. And unfortunately I did not have my phone with me so I could not call anyone for help. Even the Lexus Safety Connect system (SOS) did not work. I eventually got my wife's attention by honking and she came out and brought my phone (fortunately the horn still worked). She was unable to find the slot to insert the mechanical key (that's stored in the key fob) so we couldn't use that. I was finally able to call Lexus Roadside Assistance from my Apple Watch. The Lexus representative instructed me to pull on the inside door release lever two times and that would open the door. It didn't work. So I tried it on the front passenger door and it opened. But as soon as I got out of the car and the door closed, the car locked again. Thus I was unable to get back inside to see if I could jumpstart it or charge the battery. I did find the keyslot for the mechanical key and it did not work. In total, I was locked in the car for nearly 45 minutes. In an emergency, that could have been fatal. The Lexus dealer said they could not find anything wrong with the vehicle other than it needing to be charged. They tested the mechanical key and the inside door handle and said both worked. They could not explain why it didn't work for me other than telling me I need to drive the car more often to keep the 12V battery charged. There's nothing in the owner's manual saying that the vehicle needs to be driven frequently else this problem could arise. My concern is this happening to others where the electrical system is compromised in an accident or the car being submerged in water. If the occupants are locked inside, the result could be devastating. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
