I was going forward in drive maybe 5 mph, came to a stop and opened my driver door , My car has the safety feature when you open your door, it automatically goes into park, it did, and so I proceeded to get out. I noticed my car kind of made a jerk, and the next thing I know it was going in reverse. I tried to jump in to stop it so it wouldn’t hit my house and it ran me over on the ankle. Only thing that stopped my car was a tree and another vehicle
NHTSA complaint 11767483Hello. I recently had to pay CarMax $1,083 to replace my right rear (tailgate mounted) turn signal assembly. CarMax said the issue was due to a seal failing on the light assembly which allowed water to enter the unit and short out the LED unit. The same issue occured for 2024-25 Corsairs and was addressed by the NHTSA Campaign 25V688 / Ford Recall 25C53 and Lincoln. Can the NHTSA force a recall on earlier models since my 2020 Corsair has the exact same issue? It's unbeleivable that I was faced with an $1,100 bill for my tail lights not working when the problem was due to poor engineering. Can the NHTSA help me with recovering any of my expenses for this repair? Thank you.

The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 26V123000 (Back Over Prevention) and NHTSA Campaign Number 26V117000(Visibility); however, the part to do the recall repair was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The dealer was contacted and an appointment was made for service; however, on the day of service, the contact was informed that parts for the recall never arrived. NHTSA complaint 11737522I recently paid $6,825.69 for a transmission repair, and immediately after that, the turbocharger failed.” “My mechanic has advised that driving the vehicle could result in engine damage or sudden loss of power.” “Because of this safety risk, I have stopped driving the vehicle.
NHTSA complaint 11735538vehicles rear tail and signal lights failed, no rear signaling to traffic behind said vehicle. Lincoln has a recall on 2024-2025 corsairs for this issue but earlier models do not have this recall but the same issue are on the earlier models. The vehicle has been inspected by a ford dealer and confirmed. there are no warning indicators to the driver of this failure, lights just quick working.
NHTSA complaint 11735512Rear trunk won't open.
NHTSA complaint 11732144Brake Light failure from water intrusion with less than 40k miles. Repair Invoice was $845.
NHTSA complaint 11731876The powertrain control system has detected one of the transmission clutches did not apply within the expected time as expected. It has resulted in delayed and harsh shifts to another gear and sometimes does not. Circumstances include jerking, hesitation and complete failures unpredictably (sudden loss of power), which has created unsafe driving conditions that happened when accelerating or merging into traffic. This issue is consistent with complaints reported by other owners, as well. Nothing has been address by Ford Lincoln to address this unsafe issue. This is a serious safety risk. There is no recall or TSB to date. Invoice is $6500 to repair. This same issue is being reported by many according to a Lincoln fb group and a search on the internet, as well. I have reported the issue to their Customer Service line and to the Lincoln app. I am requesting that this issue be investigated for manufacturer action with complete and all dollar reimbursements, including tow charges. While customer service reps are taking the issue to document my complaint, there is nothing to resolve the expensive and unsafe condition being sought by them.

NHTSA complaint 11730339ON YOUR VEHICLE, IT MAY BE POSSIBLE TO HAVE THE SYNC SCREEN IMAGE ON THE CENTER DISPLAY FLIPPED OR INVERTED IMMEDIATELY AFTER AN IGNITION CYCLE. Safety Risk THIS MAY RESULT IN THE IMAGE DISPLAYED BEING INVERTED OR FLIPPED, THIS INCLUDES ALL BUTTONS. WHILE IN REVERSE THE REARVIEW CAMERA IMAGE, BUTTONS, AND CAMERA GUIDELINES MAY ALSO BE INVERTED OR FLIPPED. A REARVIEW CAMERA THAT DOES NOT CORRECTLY DISPLAY A CORRECT IMAGE IN REVERSE CAN REDUCE YOUR VIEW OF WHAT IS BEHIND THE VEHICLE, INCREASING THE RISK OF A CRASH. Remedy SOFTWARE IS NOT AVAILABLE. FORD MOTOR COMPANY IS WORKING TO PROVIDE SOFTWARE FOR THIS REPAIR. WHEN THE REMEDY BECOMES AVAILABLE, FORD MOTOR COMPANY WILL NOTIFY YOU VIA MAIL TO SCHEDULE A SERVICE APPOINTMENT WITH YOUR DEALER FOR REPAIRS TO BE COMPLETED FREE OF CHARGE. NHTSA complaint 11727665Ford has not been able to remedy this problem
NHTSA complaint 11727663I have a 2020 Lincoln Corsair with an active recall on the infotainment system. My screen freezes constantly, and I’m unable to complete system updates at all—it just spins or crashes & my rearview camera glitches out. This is a huge safety issue!!! This makes the vehicle difficult and unsafe to use, especially since it affects visibility and system controls. I understand a fix isn’t available yet, but my system is essentially unusable. Since the system won’t update, I can’t even apply the future recall fix when it becomes available. This seems like a hardware failure related to the recall issue.

NHTSA complaint 11701453While driving, received AWD, Traction Control, Adaptive Cruise Control and Forward Collision Alert/Malfunction lights on instrument panel and notification that none of them were working. Happened consistently after starting vehicle while driving a few minutes. Had vehicle taken in to dealership to discover a new AWD module was needed and not covered by warranty. After further research, determined that there was a recall for the same part on the same model of our vehicle one year later but did not include our year model.
