System that failed: Automatic Emergency Braking. The car is at the dealership now. My safety/others safety at risk: I was driving at about 40-45 mph and for no reason at all the emergency braking system engaged and brought my car to a screeching halt in the middle of the road. There was no reason for the emergency brakes to engage as there was nothing in front of me. The car behind me then had to slam on their brakes as I had come to a complete stop in the middle of the road for no reason. Had the car behind me not been paying attention, they would have certainly hit me and we both could have been injured. In addition, if this happened on the highway the consequences could certainly be catastrophic. Problem reproduced/confirmed: Not sure, waiting to hear from dealer Inspection: Just at the dealer. Warning lamps/messages: Definitely something flashed up that I'm pretty sure was red and white but didn't stay long. Symptoms prior: My alternator went out in August 2026, also bringing my car to a complete stop in the middle of the road. Was told at the dealer it was a fluke manufacturing defect and was fixed.
NHTSA complaint 11763410Vehicle is unstable in wind conditions I t is all I can do to drive it safely , even at very slowed speeds
NHTSA complaint 11718607The infotainment system resets itself multiple times within a 5-10 minute drive. This also causes the back up to not work when in reverse, which is a safety concern. The clock does not stay on the correct time no matter how many times I change it. This issue is very frustrating and my dealership didn't take me seriously when I first tried to get this looked at.
NHTSA complaint 11717523While driving on the highway I decided to pass the vehicle in front of me. At the same time I had hit the button to resume the speed I had set on the cruise control. I pushed the pedal all the way to the floor to quickly pass the vehicle in front and when I got past him and let off the peddle my vehicle kept accelerating. I tried turning off the cruise control but that didn’t help. I finally put the car in neutral and coasted to a stop with the engine racing. I tried to pull the accelerator up thinking it was stuck but that didn’t work. Finally I turned the vesicle off and restarted the car and it started working normally. I don’t know what/why that happened and I’ve been afraid to try to duplicate that incident by pushing the accelerator all the way down again. I think this is dangerous and thus I’m reporting this.
