My wife and I were driving Westbound on [XXX] in Washington state just East of Seattle when the driver side slide out went out on its own while my wife was sleeping on the couch. After taking it to the center it was purchased at they told me it was a failure of the safety retainers on the locking dogs that keep the unit secure when retracted. The manufacturer denied to repair. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
NHTSA complaint 11630380When driving with cruise control on and encounter a slight side wind or even a grade change in road surface where the coach is not perfectly level the cruise will quit and hill decent light comes on, will not rest until it is shut off for 10 min or so. It is a issue with steering angle sensor, I can be driving perfectly straight but if the steering wheel is turned off center for more than a half mile or so even though going straight , the cruise will quit. it can happen multiple times in a 300 mile trip, may not even work for the whole trip. or on a nice day straight road no wind it will be just fine. it is a correlation of steering angle to wheel turn angle, needs more range/allowance.
NHTSA complaint 11422162Technical service bulletins and other notices the manufacturer sent to dealers. A bulletin is not a recall.
