NHTSA complaint 10276864TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2003 CHRYSLER ELECTRIC GEM. WHILE DRIVING AT 10 MPH THE CONTACT HEARD A LOUD CLINKING NOISE COMING FROM THE FRONT OF THE VEHICLE. THE FASTER THE VEHICLE ACCELERATED THE LOUDER THE NOISE BECAME . THE CONTACT CALLED GLOBAL ELECTRIC MOTOR COMPANY, AND THEY SUGGESTED THAT THE FAILURE MAY BE THE FRONT AXLE. THE NECESSARY PARTS FOR THE REPAIR WERE ON BACK ORDER.
