2025 Land Rover Range Rover Sport P400 Dynamic SE, VIN [XXX]. Leased new March 2025; 11,690 miles. The instrument cluster repeatedly displays "Please check engine coolant level" although the vehicle is not due for service. The cooling system is sealed and coolant should not be consumed or lost on a vehicle this new, indicating a leak or a defective level sensor. Land Rover has documented this exact symptom in manufacturer communications filed with NHTSA for the 2025 Range Rover Sport (July 2025: engine coolant leak, low coolant warning) and in a dealer bulletin for turbocharger coolant feed/return hose O-ring leaks on the Ingenium I6 3.0L petrol engine (bulletin D061). An undetected coolant leak can lead to engine overheating and sudden loss of power. I am requesting that this defect be investigated and recorded. When using my parking assist feature for the first time the vehicle malfunctioned causing me to hit the car that I was trying to park in front of. The park assist took over when I engaged it but accelerated and hit the care without warning. I happened so quickly that I could not apply the brake until it was too late. There were 4 of us in the car at the time and were all shocked. Luckily no one was injured but it was definitely a possibility and there was damage to both vehicles. The police were called but did only did an information exchange form. I tried the feature the next day in an empty parking lot and again the back up speed was noted to be too fast. I took it to the dealer the following Monday and they said the computer showed no malfunction but they did agree that one of the sensors should have warned me and that the speed is set too high. They said that it is not something that they can adjust however and urged me to reach out to Land Rover’s customer service. Land Rover customer service told me to fill out this form. My insurance agent told me that this is their 3rd claim in a month with this issue. The dealer told me that they do not tell people that they have this parking assist feature because it is an issue. Why is not one addressing it then?!

There are exhaust fumes in the Cabin. This has been going on since May of 2026. Multiple different repairs have been made. I still smell exhaust fumes on my clothing after driving the vehicle with the windows up and the air conditioning on. I do not know if there are air quality safety issues including carbon monoxide coming into the vehicle when in it.

The panoramic sunroof is cracked in several places impacting only the front half of the sunroof. There is not indication of a point of impact that would have caused the cracks. The vehicle is garage kept and has been driven minimally this summer. The were noticed on Saturday, July 18th when I opened the retractable interior roof. My safety is at risk because of the potential for the glass to fall from the roof while I'm driving. The panoramic sunroof has not been inspected by any one other than myself and my husband. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. There is no warning or indication that the panoramic sunroof is cracked.

FIRST ISSUE-THIS REPORT - LOSS OF POWER / ELECTRICAL FAULT (4/10/26) On April 10, 2026, I backed out of a parking space into a drive lane in a commercial parking lot. As the vehicle was rolling, it suddenly lost power. I attempted to restart the vehicle, but it would not start. The vehicle continued rolling backward into the intersection. Two warning messages appeared on the dashboard -"Stop Safely/Electrical Fault Detected" "Stop Safely – Loss of Drive".Photos attached. Because the vehicle could not be restarted or moved, it remained disabled in the intersection for approx two hours. The vehicle had to be towed to the dealership. When the vehicle was taken to the dealership, I was later told that no problem could be found. The dealership reportedly ran a computer diagnostic test & stated that nothing was wrong with the vehicle. They performed routine maintenance, charged more than $900, & returned the vehicle to me without identifying or repairing the cause of the loss-of-power event. SECOND ISSUE – INTERMITTENT SENSOR FAILURES - The vehicle's front & rear sensors operate intermittently. I scheduled a service appointment for May 20, 2026, to address this issue, but I was forced to cancel a I did not have transportation available. THIRD ISSUE (reported to nhtsa.gov) BRAKE SLAMING/SUDDEN STOP (5/2/26) On 5/2/26, the vehicle experienced a brake slamming/sudden stop while I was driving through an intersection. Following this incident, I developed neck pain & headaches. The vehicle was towed to the dealership for a second time. During discussion with the dealership, I was informed that the April 10, 2026 service visit had been documented as relating to a "check engine" light. I want to make clear that the warning messages displayed during the April 10 incident were not a check-engine light. The messages displayed were: • "Stop Safely–Electrical Fault Detected"• "Stop Safely–Loss of Drive" My research found reports of other RR owners experiencing the same issue.

Rear seat in 2025 Range Rover Sport closed on my arm while returning to upright position, trapping me with no accessible manual release. Required assistance to be freed. Resulted in numbness and ongoing nerve/tendon pain. While parked in my driveway, I activated the electronic control to raise the left rear passenger seat from a folded position. As I reached in to remove an object (umbrella) to prevent obstruction, the seat closed on my right forearm and elbow, trapping my arm. I was unable to free myself. The seat would not move, and there was no accessible manual or emergency release within reach. The only release control was located near the rear liftgate, which I could not access while trapped. I called for help but could not be heard due to nearby landscaping equipment. A worker attempted to manually free the seat but was unsuccessful. I was ultimately freed when my husband activated the electronic release from the rear cargo area. Following the incident, my arm and fingers were numb. I continue to experience ongoing tendon and nerve pain in my forearm and elbow. Rear seat lacks an accessible emergency/manual release within reach of passenger area. Seat did not stop or reverse when encountering resistance, creating a risk of entrapment and serious injury.

Back-up camera malfunctions periodically. They tried to fix it, but it is still happening. When I put it in reverse, it says "cameras not available." It creates a risk for me as I am used to parallel parking using it, or when I am coming out of my garage, among other places and times. It is unpredictable - sometimes it happens several times a day, then it doesn't happen for a few days. There must be a way to fix this for good. It has never happened with several other cars I used for a long time.

There are two primary complaints on the vehicle since it was lease on May 26, 2025. (1) Clunking metal on metal sound when the vehicle is in reverse as well as sharp right or left turn or general braking. The sound is most audible on the rear right side of the vehicle. This matter was reported > 3 times to the Freeport Landover Dealership; the last visit was in October 2025. During the visit the Techs claim not to hear any noise and the issue persists, even at time of this complaint. The vehicle has about 5,100 miles and has been in for service, since June11, 2025, July 2025, August 2025 and was held there until Sept. 30, 2025. (2) Reported brake issues as of June 2025, within 1 week of having the vehicle. September 2025, after two previous visits and the vehicle being held from 8/29/2025 through September 30, 2025, the front brakes were changed and again the squeaky brake issues is still happening every time it rains or snows or I get a car wash. It is evident this vehicle has defects since manufacturing. I had for 4.5 years, the Range Rover 2020 Evogue, which I traded in for this Range Rover Sport and had ZERO mechanical issues.

  10. Filed Jan 16, 2026Failure Dec 24, 2025Houston, TXAssist, Steering

The lane assist system causes unintended steering intervention, actively pulling the vehicle toward hazards and off the roadway. The vehicle forcefully steers toward turning lanes, skid marks, and normal road markings, creating a serious safety risk. This behavior occurs at speed and is terrifying and dangerous. The same behavior occurred in a Range Rover loaner vehicle of a different model, indicating a systemic defect rather than an isolated issue. Due to safety concerns, I have been forced to disable lane assist to prevent loss of control. The issue has been presented to the dealer multiple times and remains unresolved.

Passenger side seatbelt was locked so tight during accident it cut off breathing to passenger. After several attempts, I was able to finally release the seatbelt. After the accident and passenger was out of seat, I tried to relatch the seatbelt. I tried moving the seat back to give more room to latch the seatbelt in the loose position however it still 3 to 4 inches away from latching.

The vehicle headlight at the low beam has a shadow with a notch, causing a distraction during driving. The shadow distracts during driving and takes the attention off the driver, causing hazardous situations for the driver and others around the car. Diagnosed with the dealer and recommended filing a complaint with the manufacturer for design issues. I would like to report to NHTSA for awareness and safety issues - This is a serious issue and could cause collision due to poor design and driver distraction
