The recall listed under Tiffin-142, involves the sub-frame truss collapse that could cause a fire. The NHTSA RECALL # 24V-669. Tiffin has failed to instruct or direct a direct link to an engineer for advise. Tiffin made arrangements with Rush Truck Leasing Company, Phoenix Arizona, to make the repairs, and it now sits for three days with no specific direction to repair. All of this should have been addressed prior to the notice!!
NHTSA complaint 11629019Shortly following delivery of the motorhome, there appeared a catastrophic crack in the fiberglass on the leading side of the overhead bunk (driver's side). Left unresolved, the primary safety concern is that the crack will expand and, while traveling (especially at higher speed), the top portion of the overhead bunk will separate from the motorhome - putting motorists traveling behind, and anyone then in the overhead bunk, at risk. The motorhome has been inspected by an independent I-CAR Gold Class repair professional and remains available for inspection upon request.
NHTSA complaint 11569072Technical service bulletins and other notices the manufacturer sent to dealers. A bulletin is not a recall.
