NHTSA complaint 11456676I RECEIVED A SAFETY RECALL NOTICE FROM MERCEDES-BENZ IN FEBRUARY 2019 FOR THE PASSENGER-SIDE AIRBAG (SEE ATTACHED COPY). IT STATES THAT "A PASSENGER-SIDE INFLATOR EXPLOSION DURING DEPLOYMENT COULD RESULT IN SHARP METAL FRAGMENTS STRIKING THE FRONT PASSENGER OR OTHER OCCUPANTS, POSSIBLY CAUSING SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH." OVER THE LAST 20 MONTHS, I HAVE TRIED AT LEAST SIX TIMES TO HAVE THIS ISSUE FIXED BY MY DEALER MERCEDES-BENZ OF GREENWICH, 261 WEST PUTNAM AVE, GREENWICH, CT 06830. EACH TIME THE DEALER SAID THAT THEY DON'T HAVE THIS PART.
